I'm not certain.. but when I was looking through the old set lists, it looks like it started in 2004, in 2003 there was a 'drum intro' listed??

He was doing Hot Hot Hot before Don't Stop the Carnival, which is when the whole drum thing started. It is a while ago so the memory isn't as good as it once was but I would have to say 98 or so .
