Time After Island Time On Demand presents a special on pedal steel guitarist, studio musician, performer and Coral Reefer DOYLE GRISHAM (the show originally aired in January 2007 and is produced by Paul Leslie & Jeff Pike).
Doyle's pedal steel guitar playing was once referred to as "tasty" by Rolling Stone magazine, and we have to agree. He has appeared on many classic and modern country albums, as well as countless albums from Jimmy Buffett. All of those great classic Buffett songs from the 1970s that featured pedal steel guitar--Come Monday, Why Don't We Get Drunk..., He Went to Paris, the list goes on and on. In fact, with the exception of one Buffett album--EVERY Buffett album which features pedal steel guitar owes credit to Doyle Grisham.

Hey.
It's too cool that you're doing this.
If you like Buffett, you'll love these two. It's amazing what he contributes to the whole JB & the Coral Reefer "sound."

Wow, thanks! I had missed your interviews with Doyle Grisham on TAIT and really enjoyed Part I.
I'd sure like to hear the Tompall Glaser version of Tin Cup Chalice. It sounds like that is where Jimmy originally became familiar with Doyle and his pedal steel.
Good stuff! Just saw Doyle with John Frinzi in Vegas and enjoyed that, but when joined by Robert Greenidge and Mike Utley, the music took on a whole new dimension.

Thanks conched.
Hey Conched,
No thank you for listening. I'm glad you liked it.
Next week for episode #100 we welcome Mr. Michael Utley, "Reflections on Anguilla." It will be a good one.

Well.
The more people I talk to on this show, the more I realize we all really want the same thing. If we'll be honest.
