Bazza.
6 years ago I bought the "SYKBH Yellow album" I had heard some of
the songs before because I worked at a radio station, but really knew
little about the man or his music. I went to my first show in 2004 in
Columbia, SC. I enjoyed that so when he was in Columbia again I went
again in 2005. I signed up to get advance tickets and in 2006 got floor
dead center 20 rows back. Thats when I met the first person from BN
live, PHnSC.
2006 also took me to Atlanta and Tampa where I met many more BN'rs.
This year I have been fortunate enough to see Jimmy in Orlando where I
got his autograph, Took my first trip across the "Big Muddy" to Houston
for a show with a great group of Texan fans, Did Atlanta at an indoor
venue, Did Cincinnatti with the help of Auntie, (and an illegal u-turn on
the interstate going to reprint my ticket) Finally finished up with two shows
in Tampa.
I just got a raise so who knows what will happen next year!
I love you all each and everyone whom i have met or will meet in the
future. Phriends here have saved me from total despair and I feel blessed
to have your distant but warm company.

My parents owned two copies of the Yellow Album, which opened the gate to me at an early age. Since then I've educated them on the rest of JB's catalog, and introduced a few friends and my girlfriend. I think they're all appreciative.

I figured I didn't need that one.
I bought Sport Coat and Livin & Dyin at Sears in KW shortly after their release. Then everything else on the release date. I guess I'm a PH also.

The Yellow Album is just a convenient way of introducing someone to Jimmy's music.

My addiction also started in college. Two friends and I were going to roadtrip that summer to go to Kings Dominion and see Jimmy Buffett. Only problem was at the time, all I knew about JB was that he toured every year to a bunch of freaks, and the five minutes i knew of him (I worked at an ampitheater in CT) didn't seem to make any sense (walked through the concert area during the "sermon" on the Feeding Frenzy tour. So one night my buddies and I got a liter of Cuervo, a bag of limes, and a bunch of CD's and over the next several hours they played me the son gs they felt I REALLY had to know by heart.

After the "Yellow Album," I went directly to the BBB box set

And my kids have taken them ALL

My first album wasn't even an album. I picked up the A-1-A 8-track sometime in my senior year of high school ('76-'77) because of the title. I had surfed a few times in Virginia Beach with a guy who had told me tales of "driving down A-1-A in Florida" in search of waves. When I saw the 8-track in a Peaches Record & Tapes (anyone remember those?), I picked it up even though I had never heard of this Jimmy Buffett guy. Within the next month I picked up Havana Daydreamin', A White Sport Coat and a Pink Crustacean, and Living and Dying in 3/4 Time ..... also as 8-tracks.
Two decades later Jimmy autographed that original 8-track for me at a concert.
