Ingredients:
1 whole chicken or turkey
1 large lemon, cut into halves
sprig of rosemary
salt and pepper to taste
butter or olive oil, whichever you prefer
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Rub butter or oil over the skin of the chicken/turkey until it is completely coated.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper and any other seasonings you prefer.
Take a knife and gently separate the skin from the breast meat;
Slide lemon halves under the skin with the peel side up, one on
each side. This way the juice from the lemon will release into the breasts.
Place sprig of rosemary into the chicken/turkey.
Cover and bake for 30-45 minutes. Remove cover and continue
to roast until juices run clear, basting every 15-20 minutes.
If you've followed these steps correctly, your chicken/turkey should
look like the one in the picture.
Bon Appetit!

Alright y'all...
I sent this to one of my dearest friends ...
And yep....
She did it....
For her, her husband ,her parents , AND her in laws....
Oh dear Lord I have laughed all day as we talked on the phone during preparations!!!
Now you know why I love her so much.......(and yes , she has a screen name here.....Sunshine)
She is wonderful and has such a zest for life!
Said she had to take it down from the fist pic...title "Dollywood" to "West Hollywood"....
The Prep: Dollywood
and "West Hollywood"
and the Table..
Her words.." Her words: "My Mom, who has an amazing sense of humor, noticed immediately and just about fell on the floor laughing. She saw me take it out of the roaster and place it on the spiked board. She helped re-arrange all the food so that it would fit table center. It looked like this..."
I think we all owe Ms Tracy a HUGE
PHINS UP!!!!
Love you..."Sunshine" (((((((Trace)))))))

Yep. I did it. It was worth it!
Thanks to (((((Connie))))) for being my inspiration and the reason behind a lot of smiles!!!
My MIL "It has boobies!"
"No", says I, "it's a turkey... it has breast-es-ses." ROTFL
It was a wonderful meal. We laughed and laughed and laughed some more. I'm going to do it again at Christmas and try for some serious tan lines.

Wish me luck!
I hope that you all had a
wonderful Thanksgiving, full of love and laughter and all that you're thankful for!
Hugs and giggles!
