Ingredients:
1 whole chicken or turkey
1 large lemon, cut into halves
sprig of rosemary
salt and pepper to taste
butter or olive oil, whichever you prefer

Heat oven to 350 degrees

Rub butter or oil over the skin of the chicken/turkey until it is completely coated.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper and any other seasonings you prefer.

Take a knife and gently separate the skin from the breast meat;
Slide lemon halves under the skin with the peel side up, one on
each side. This way the juice from the lemon will release into the breasts.

Place sprig of rosemary into the chicken/turkey.

Cover and bake for 30-45 minutes. Remove cover and continue
to roast until juices run clear, basting every 15-20 minutes.

If you've followed these steps correctly, your chicken/turkey should
look like the one in the picture.

Bon Appetit!

Now you know why I love her so much.......(and yes , she has a screen name here.....Sunshine)

She is wonderful and has such a zest for life!

and the Table..

Her words.." Her words: "My Mom, who has an amazing sense of humor, noticed immediately and just about fell on the floor laughing. She saw me take it out of the roaster and place it on the spiked board. She helped re-arrange all the food so that it would fit table center. It looked like this..."

Oh Penny...she added this too...

"My guests didn't get it at first. So, I asked "Would anyone like some breast meat?" (with a straight face, even). Then, they all looked... and looked again. Laughter filled the room! It was all sooo worth it!

We all talked about what we were thankful for. And turkey, with breast-es-ses, was one of the things that we were all most thankful for.

The flavor was awesome. I was a little worried that the lemon would over-power the meat, but it didn't. This recipe IS valid and well worth the try. Be careful not to get too close to the skin with your implants (I did - and worried about the skin splitting during baking).

It will be part of my Christmas dinner menu for sure.

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone! I hope that you're smiling as much as the people sitting around my table were!"

LMAO...and Smiling HUGELY... :D :D
