What fun was had....can't wait until next year. The hubby didn't want me to go next year, but at our last club meeting, after a pitcher of margaritas, he said go, if Elaine went with me ! I guess he thinks one more chaperone was needed Jill and Pat did a very good job, as did Wayne Thursday night.....nothing better than to have a former bouncer as an escort

Linda has that effect on people around her. Des and Jill were ecstatic.

I'm just trying to figure out which one is the "fruit" and which is the "fun". [smilie=mla.gif]

and one...more...time....could have cared less about Jimmy showing up, it was Mac and Peter we wanted to see.

LOVE YOU SANTA!!!! [smilie=coolup.gif]
Ditto, even if it wasn't Jimmy, the word was that it would be someone you wouldn't want to miss - so I was thinking some CRB members too. Was also not too appreciative of the fake Jimmy in the window at Margaritaville during Streetfest, I admit to being a newbie when it comes to stuff like that but I wasn't the only one raising my camera until I was told differently. I may not have been taken in so easily had it not been for the Drifty factor.

{{{{Santa}}}} so glad I got to meet you!

If it's who I think it is, he really can't help looking like Jimmy. Even some of the CRB'ers think he looks like Jimmy. And he really *is* a Parrothead, from many years back - he's got as much right to be at MOTM as any of us in a PHC.

Me, I'm grateful to him for encouraging me to make my first trip to MOTM and Key West, four plus years back. He's got his rough edges, as do we all, but he's also got a very good heart.

As for the rumors...there are *always* rumors about Jimmy showing up at MOTM. And I recall one or two other people referencing possible discussions with various CRBers about maybe day-tripping down on Friday. Maybe someone thought they could make it down, told a friend or two, and then ended up not being able to do it.

As the T-shirt goes, "Never attribute to maliciousness what can be ascribed to mere stupidity." Or perhaps good intentions and Murphy's law.

I still had one of my best times at a MOTM ever.

Well, usually the Leader's Brunch video Jimmy sends has something like "You never know WHO might show"...this year, Jimmy said "I will NOT be able to make it". Period.

Still Wayne, I'm sorry you were lead to think different.

Yeah - LuLu was really shocked when she met Jimmy (that is his real name). He is a REALLY NICE guy! Got to spend a lot of time with him and his wife and he does really suffer at times for who looks like him.

I was sitting at the CAsa with him and one drunk woman came over and was really rude ...... I felt sorry for him - he does nothing but look how he was born ....
