Here's an interesting article. Apparently Ian Astbury, lead singer of the Cult, spilled the beans during a club show that they will be opening for Zeppelin on tour next year...

Seen the Page/Plant tour twice back in the mid 90's. Nothing against John Paul Jones & Jason Bonham but I CAN'T IMAGINE they'll be better now than they were then!
As the 2 plowed through the Zep catalog I remember the euphoria I had as I didn't get to see the original Zep. They also utilized a 30 piece orchestra or so that was frankly awesome on such tunes as Kashmir & When the levee breaks!
And If I remember correctly I think Tix were in the $50-$60 range. I'm sure we'll have to lay down $$$ for this show except for the verry top row.

I just saw the Cult last month at Las Vegas HOB on the Fri. nite before Buffett
and Astbury hardly said 2 words to the audience.

I lost my voice after that show too :-? screaming along to the rockin' songs
which sure didn't help me get thru a raucous Buffett street scene that next day....
