New Years Day Capital Oneis looking like the game to be at in Orlando.

We only have one kid in college right now, and he's at Western.

No bowl fever in Kalamazoo.

Christini's is a great Italian restaurant in Orlando. Pleasure Island is a fun place to spend an evening.

There is an ESPN sports bar on the Disney Boardwalk that is substandard but about the best you are likely to find anywhere in the Orlando area. If you don't want to go on the Disney properties there is a chain called the Orlando Ale House but be warned you won't find any ales on tap here and the ESPN is a better sports bar in my opinion.

Universal City walk has an NBA sports bar which I have never been too. I have no idea if they would have bowl games on. Another nice place at the City Walk and my favorite Orlando restaurant is Margeritaville but if they have any TVs to watch the games on I have never seen one.

There are more hotel rooms in Orlando than any US city except Las Vegas
Your best bet is probably to stay where the University books blocks of rooms, just so you are around like-minded fans.

The downtown bar scene centers on Orange Avenue between Robinson and South Street.
There is always plenty of activity around Wall Street Plaza, which is about the middle of that stretch of Orange.

Park in garages or marked spots; you stand a good chance of getting towed if you park in an unmarked space/lot

There are fun tourist oriented restaurant/bar areas at the major theme parks (Citywalk at Universal, Pleasure Island at Disney)

International Drive (known as I-Drive to locals) is the center of the non-themepark tourist area. The North end is packed with outlet shopping, the South end caters to the convention business and has a lot of interesting restaurants/shops/hotels

If you want a large sports bar to watch games, Fridays Front Row on I-Drive just south of Sand Lake is probably your best bet.

If you plan to tailgate, look for the click-and-park links on the above website and order your parking passes ASAP. the lots on the North side of the stadium are easier to get in/out of if you know the back ways in - (e-mail me if you get parking there)
