Fall Out Boy in Philly

Post by tikiwoman »

have been away on vacation but wanted to post about a concert I went to with my girls. The great thing about being a Mom is going to stuff and hearing music you might not listen to otherwise. This was a four band bill for only, are you listening old classic rockers out there, $30.00 at the Wachovia Spectrum. First was Cute is What We Aim For- too loud and too samey in their music but my youngest loves them. Next was Plain White T's. I have to admit that the girls roped me into the show because I love Hey There Deliliah. This band was the best musically of the night and the singer is adorable. Next were Gym Class Heroes- some rap, some rock, all mixed up and the kids seemed to eat it up but it gave me a headache Then the main attraction. Fall Out Boy! I give props to the guitar player playing with an ankle boot all tour after fracturing his ankle earlier in the tour! Lots of energy, pyro, confetti and they rocked it emo style We all had a great time, they even covered the Killers which made Mom very happy So now these kids owe me a Bon Jovi or Bruce or Buffett show this summer but I have to admit it is good to hear rock music alive and well in the teen world. So Dance Dance!
