Emeril canned

Post by CaptainP »

Emeril Lagasse's show has been cancelled by the Food Network after 10 years, having been one of the shows that helped the network reach the status that it currently enjoys...

That's gotta be my favorite show (or maybe 2nd favorite, next to Iron Chef) on food network. We make stuff all the time that we saw on Emeril Live.... :(

POW!

Not sure if I like all the "reality food TV" they've been doing. I'm a fan of Rachel Ray and Giada. In fact, I'm pretty sure Jimmy's a Giada fan too. Think of the chorus from, "One Particular Harbor."

I know a lot of people like Emeril and it's sad to see him get the axe, however lately I've found him rather boring.

I love Paula!! And I can't grab my EVOO without thinking about Rachel.
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.

You do know "EVOO" is now in the dictionary.

Mrs. TR wrote "EVOO" on a shopping list for me once and I had no idea what that meant, but the first lady I asked laughed out loud and told me what to get.

On another shopping expedition she wrote down, "Confectioners Sugar," and not one lady in the store (under 70) knew what the heck it was. Thank God a grandma over heard me asking what it was and where to get it.

I liked Emeril. The bayou chicken pasta he made when Jimmy was on last fall was really good. Plus, Doc Gibbs' band was cool.

Giada tries too hard. Never thought I'd say this, but she can button another button on those blouses. Plus, she doesn't really smile, she just shows her teeth. I know, I know, she'll have a wrinkle-free face at 60. Tell her Jimmy, wrinkles only go where the smiles have been. :D

I'm not a regular watcher of the Food Channel so I only know Emeril from the mainstream stuff. He seems pretty personable and it's too bad he was cut. I'm sure he has other ventures. Back in the old days cook books were the way to go and James Beard was a good resource. The one TV chef I always did relate to was Biba from Sacramento, CA. I did not make to her ristorante before I migrated east, y'all should check it out her web site for some good stuff.

Could it be that he was burned out? He has a lot of other stuff going and his shows are now pretty much same old same old. I enjoyed him and learned a lot from him. I never cared for that mario guy or bobby flay. The original iron chef was great the US version is horrible. I do lust for Rachael Ray.

Awww...I like Emeril!! ContinentalDrifterIII and I attended a live taping and were on screen a few times! What that network really needs to do is ditch those creepy "Hearty Boys" (eww) and that extra-creepy Robin Miller with her huge eyeballs, putting peanut butter in everything. I'd rather watch Emeril's tubby frame and large square face. 40 cloves of garlic, BAM!

I love Emeril! He was very entertaining and he showed how to love cooking food! I hope he does another show....his recipes were great! 8)
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

It came out a few weeks ago that she is pregnant. I have a feeling cleavage cam will be getting more to shoot in the coming months.
