The "talk" didn't go anywhere :-? I beat around the bush, discussed what he and his friends talk about, then asked him about girls in general, and got a response sort of like "I'd rather be reading a book or hanging with my friends then be in the company of a girl." I finished it with you know anytime you want to talk about anything with me or mom were here for you. I have been telling him that for years on top of it, "as you get older issues you may have get larger, we're here to lend an ear to assist you through these type of things, but if you don't tell us about them we can't help you." I really feel for the most part he does tell me everything, and in this case my wife was wrong. I know they start some type of human sexuality class after January in school so I will touch on this subject again then.

I just returned from the Midland Community Cancer Services luncheon. I have attended this event for many years. They have a fashion show with cancer survivors doing the modeling and it is a great local community fund raiser. Two ladies I used to work with were modeling.

To back up a little, a few weeks ago I was shopping in local jewelry store. I noticed that they had a sign that their church group was collecting flip flops for their mission in Haiti. Well I always seem to have a large supply of flip flops. (I used to crochet on them with crazy yarn and sell them) I took a large stash of flip flops back to the store.

Today at the luncheon, there was a raffle and I bought a couple of tickets. I am now the proud owner of a lovely amethyst and diamond ring donated by that store. :D

I immediately thought of this thread and couldn't wait to get home and share.... [smilie=battingeyes.gif]
