OK, my trial settled and I am thinkin hard about this one. Can't afford Tahiti or Australia and Honk Kong is actually going to be less than Anguilla. My calendar is clear and I am thinkin - why not.

Anyone else from BN thinking seriously about Hong Kong?

Thanks!

I have been turning this over in my head since I heard about it - still havent decided for definite but at the moment am leaning towards not.

My reasoning may be suspect but goes as follows:

On the plus side - its JB :D

On the minus side - its a dinner rather than a concert, so will have to think about an evening dress etc and it will attract a very different type of attendee and hence an unpredictable atmosphere. I have worked in many countries and am not a lover of the average expat crowd. (Sorry if that offends anyone but I am thinking of the Brits. I think Jimmy had it right with BR)

So still undecided........watch this space [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

PS We also dont know how much of a performance we can expect.....

No offence taken! Is it ok if we're still pat and not ex-pat?!
I've been thinking about it down to the flight and hotel choosing and pricing stage and I have the ticket order form but.... there's something not quite right about it.

If he's on the way to Australia or better then it might be the start of a tour for me but until then it will stay on hold.

Let me know what you decide to do. Like you I think it might be worth it as a step towards Australia but probably not on its own. Do you own a DJ?

Its Brit ex-pats I tend to not see eye to eye with....... but then you can never generalise.

Take care

PS Did you get your DVD's eventually?

Yes thank you I did - never been on a dvd before and seem to be on the Anguilla one quite often!
We made the big screen at the Chicago Labor Day show but hit the cutting room floor between there and that dvd...!
I do own a dj but its a bit tight now ..ouch! Its not seriously a black tie dinner is it? Its a Buffet (sic) for cripes sake! I was thinking "glass sklirt".... [smilie=happyspin.gif]

I am going to Sanibel Island instead. My girl would have HATED me after the 24 hour flights and we would have only been able to stay 3 nights.

Probably a better idea - Hong Kong is not that fantastic a place ....

Did anyone manage to get tickets yet? I tried the email on the advertisement and it keeps getting returned! Do I need to speak another language?

Michelle,

I emailed the banquet manager's email listed in the article. Her name is Sandy and she definitely speaks English. She emailed me the form for obtaining tickets a week ago. She also emailed me today to find out if I still wanted tickets.

Here is Sandy's email and contact info. Good luck.

I agree with Jenny. It's a fun place for a few days, but no more than that.
