MLB over night became that "glass house" where you SHOULD NOT throw stones

Can you believe Matty Herges and F.P. Santegelo?

BTW, I'm in Santa Rosa tonight, where should I go wine tasting tomorrow? Mrs. TR works for a Sierra Foothill winery, so we get the "industry treatment....." and sometimes that's been pretty good.

Yeah, they're rich idiots, and when (and IF) they're fined, they'll STILL be rich idiots with their ga-zillions of lemmings still suc.king their collective a$$es.
I was a fan of the game for the longest time, but the days of Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, Roger Maris, Joe DiMaggio, Duke Snider, Willie Mays, & Stan Musial are long over with.

What cracks me up is that so many of the same people who hate Bonds are Clemens worshipers ... you are right about the glass houses.

Either out to the Russian River area for some Pinot Noirs or my preference would be to go up to Healdsburg and hit the Dry Creek Valley. Great Cabs, Zins, Syrahs etc. For lunch or maybe dinner after be sure to hit the Bear Republic Brewery in Healdsburg

When he was on the Dodgers, I used to like watching Gagne come out of the bullpen and DANCE his way to the mound.
Little did I know (or little did I care to know) he was also part of that select group of rich idiots.

The only thing all that money will do for them is pay their medical bills and funeral expenses.

In search of Rhones! Heading for Hopland for Real Goods via Bodega Bay in the AM and wine tasting all the way back. Like Qupe`, and had a pretty nice Pinot from J last night for dinner. I've pured at a few Rhone Ranger events, so we'll be on the look out for the usual suspects too. THANKS!!!!

well that settles it . . . their rings should be removed!

i wanted to see A-Rods name on there!!

I was shocked that Sosa and Frank Thomas wasn't on the list...and pleasantly shocked Nomar wasn't on it.

Read some of this things in the report about Gagne, last November when teh Red Sox were thinking about signing Gagne they had suspicions about Gagne and steroid use and were told that Gagne was not they type of person who took care of himself and was a likely steroid user....
Not going to lie . . . I was expecting Manny or Papi . . .

I'm sure they are breathing a sigh of relief tonight

They were number three and four on my list after Clemens and Andy. I am sorry to hear that future hall of famer Jason Veriteck was on the list. And I'm serious about that too.
Varitek was on the initial leaked list, but doesn't show up in the actual Mitchell Report.

Barry Bonds is an a$$ and has been since his days with the Pirates. But I've said all along I thought he was a Hall of Fame player before all this nonsense started and I think he still belongs in the Hall. If I was a sports writer he'd get my vote.

As a Tiger fan, I'm surprised Ivan Rodriguez wasn't on the list. Canseco named him in the book, I believe. And he reported to camp for his second season in Detroit a fraction of the size he was previously. I still think he used, just had a different supplier. Really, this whole list is just a tip of the iceberg. If you didn't deal with Balco or come thru New York, you probably have slipped by undetected.

My thought on Bonds (or Clemens or any of the potential HoFers linked to steroids) is this.

How can you accurately gauge and quantify the number of homeruns (strikeouts, etc.) that are a direct result of performance enhancing substances? If Bonds were to play another year and retire with 800 homeruns, can you definitively say that 75 of his homeruns were a direct result of steroids or HGH and that had he not used he would have retired with only 725?

I think that the Baseball Writers will probably decide against electing him first ballot, but people can argue until they are blue in the face and no one will ever be able to say for certain that Bonds wouldn't have broken the record if he hadn't used.

home runs shouldn't even be in the top 5 categories used to vote a player into the HOF anyways . . . so overrated. But lying to a grand jury would eliminate Bonds from getting my vote as character needs to be part of the consideration . . . otherwise Joe Jackson and Pete Rose should be inducted when Bonds gets inducted.
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .
