I haven't followed baseball for a while
but I do Question Matt Williams..
He was always big.. Maybe in later years to "fix" nagging aches and pains..

Maybe now people will lay off Jose Canseco.

...and Lenny Dykstra was hardly a shocker
After leaving the Mets, dude puts on 50 lbs. in ONE off-season and attributes it to "lifting"????
Some of us here were around to remember the Olympics domination by East Germany throughout the '80's.
Their athletes' physical "development" was staggering...
I can't believe it's taken to til the eve of 2008 to officially recognize this sh*t was going down.. or should i say, injected IN
Some may view Jose Canseco as a rat, but he wasn't far from wrong was he?

The way I see it is that those who are proven to do this, should be punished based on the penalties of the time they had taken the steroids. For those who are no longer in the game should either have the records they had during that time should be wiped off the books or fined heavily for using the steroids only during the time the steroids were banned.

It's ALWAYS been part of the American culture to have a "kill the messenger" mentality.
Anyone who was around when Jim Bouton's book "Ball Four" came out remembers how the baseball world turned on him as if he'd insulted the name of Hillary Clinton.
I'm guessing it'll only be a matter of days before George Mitchell is looked upon with more scorn than Osama-Ben-G.ay-Laden-Sahib-Skyhook, or whatever his name is.
NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR THE TRUTH, especially if it's about their idols (ballplayers, politicians, musicians), hence, the attitude "let's kill the messenger."
It's as American as Chinese food.

well that settles it . . . their rings should be removed!

i wanted to see A-Rods name on there!!
I was shocked that Sosa and Frank Thomas wasn't on the list...and pleasantly shocked Nomar wasn't on it.
Read some of this things in the report about Gagne, last November when teh Red Sox were thinking about signing Gagne they had suspicions about Gagne and steroid use and were told that Gagne was not they type of person who took care of himself and was a likely steroid user....
Not going to lie . . . I was expecting Manny or Papi . . .
I'm sure they are breathing a sigh of relief tonight
They were number three and four on my list after Clemens and Andy. I am sorry to hear that future hall of famer Jason Veriteck was on the list. And I'm serious about that too.

So we now have a special place in the MLB record books where a milestone home run was hit off a pitcher on steroids, a catcher on steroids and the hitter on steroids too...
Gagne, Lo Duca and Bonds

Noah Lowery, Giant's star pitcher "miraculously" gained size and weight between season in the minors...... I'm sure he's one of a list of hundreds of sh!t weasels that did "what they could do......" to make it to the bigs.
I swear you need to go down to Little League in small towns......

As soon as I read your first line, I was thinking what you said in your last line.
Little league baseball,
semi-pro baseball,
women's slo-pitch softball,
We have ALL of that here, and I enjoy them tremendously.
I pack my cooler and go to these, I don't have to decide between making my mortgage payment or a ticket to the games, and the people participating in these act like they GIVE A DAMN about the people coming to watch them.
And they don't do drugs.

Barry Bonds is an idiot.
The players mentioned in the Mitchell report are idiots on drugs.
