Kids say the darnest things

Tonight, I was decorating the tree with our keets, Joe is about to turn 5 and Katherine will be 8 in February. They were in charge of hanging the balls on the lower 1/2 of the tree when Joe says to me, ball in hand, "Mom, I don't like this blue ball, blue balls are not pretty.
I made a comment about how he will understand how true that statement is in about 7 or 8 years and suggested he pick up another color.
Since blackjack is out of town on business, I couldn't share Joe's comment with anyone here at home, but I thought someone on BN would appreciate it.
