New Years Eve......what you gonna do to break in '08?

It's that time again.......Christmas is behind us and December 31 is just around the bend.
It seems the older I get the more over-rated N.Y.E. has become. Long gone are the days when the N.Y.E. party was an event that was planned with the care of a JB summer tailgate. Once December rolled around you start working on the who/what/where of your N.Y.E. party plans. Now, I'm lucky if plans are made the day before Dec. 31. Once again, nothing sits on the horizon for the evening of 12/31 & I'm not sure if I really care.

How about you other BN'ers out there? How does your N.Y.E. party normally shape up?

we very rarely do much for New Years. Would rather do something fun on New Year's Day and start the year right! in past years we've been at my IL's home in FL. just a short ride to the beach and then toast the first sunset of the New Year :D

Some years we do this, fireworks at Penns Landing in Philly are great, hotels right there, so it's pretty cool. This year we are staying home, I am entertaining my family on Jan 1, so I'll be in the preps mode at midnight the night before or probably sleeping

Stay home. I'm a regular party animal...

Don't want to be on the road with people that don't drink all year...and drink that night and get behind the wheel....

I almost got hit last weekend by someone that ran a red light....

Saw them down the road , pulled over...

I"ll probably be at home. When I worked shift work, I volunteered to work on NYE because I'd much rather have had Christmas Eve off. Many's the year I ducked outside alone at midnight just to look at the stars....

I would love to do something, but my friends here are loser - to say the least... I'm a planner, I would like to know AT LEAST 4 days in advance... but looks like the dog and I may be in bed before the ball drops, how sad is that!?

Not sure. Trying to find a place where I don't have to pay a cover charge and a HUGE tab.

We're staying home. :D We can enjoy the night just fine without running a tab, taking the chances on driving with drunks on the roads, and the bar is closer and less busy. 8)

WE haven't really gone out and partied much in the last 10 or so years for NYE.

I do hope to share some good chow and bubbly stuff at home. Then, let the new year of music begin...
