A good quote from the article,
"Although ticket prices went through the roof for some artists this year, average prices remained fairly steady."
Most were fairly steady at a high cost. I like the comment of the DMB tour where the average price was around $50. Way to go DMB.

Hanna Montana must have had limited dates because that tour could sell as many tickets as it wanted to, at any price.
I never knew 14-yr.-old girls had that kind of disposable income. :o

Kenny Chesney must be one rich SOB pulling in those numbers year after year. Wow.

The Police had to split theirs 3 ways. Chesney just has to pay his band. Wow.

that's why he takes his whole crew to St John after each tour. Or at least he said so the last time he was on 60 minutes. It was sort of funny that he told them not to cash the bonus check in Woody's.

I never really liked his music either, but they did say kept prices lower. Not being a fan I couldn't tell you.

Does this article mention anything about total number of tour dates, etc?
I didn't read it closely enough.

It doesn't seem like they are comparing apples to apples...
