sorry sons-of-b&$%^($&%^ building the condos next door won out. All the magic of KW, just can't have a funky bar that was actually KW next door.. what a bunch of freakin' maroons.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I read that Schooner
wanted to rebuild the 2nd floor that was damaged by fire and
they found structural code issues that have to be addressed
if a 2nd story deck is to be added. The code issues didn't have
anything to do with the condos(again just repeating what I
thought I read in the KW Citizen).

you may be right. I might be just anticipating the eventual outcome of having 36 luxury condos in the Seaport right next to a dive bar.

Sorta like when people move in next door to an airport and then start complaining about the noise...*I'd* make the so-and-sos sign a waiver.

or the ones who bought houses near the shed venues and then complain about the noise on concert nights. "If the venue was there first, sorry about your luck. You're getting free concerts. Shut up."

I SO hope that's true, but just in case I'll be going there in March!
GW - 7/19 Great Northern MOTM - 7/20-21 Hershey Labor Day Weekend Show - 8/29 MOTM - Oct 28
There's a rumor on another thread that JJW is going to be at MOTM this year!!! Of course, it's not listed on the PHIP web site but that would be great if he was going to be there!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

That and with all the concert talk this thread was on page 3.....
Everyone better make airline reservations ASAP....I just tried to book a direct flight from Charleston to National on US Airways for September and it was $444...you have got to be kidding me!

Got our reservations all done, increasing airline fares got me concerned, but got r/t OKC to FLL for the Flamingo girl and I for under $700.00. Convertible reserved for the drive down, and a room at one of the Inn's on Truman. Guess we should be set. Now just have to wait 7 months, but fortunately, we are going to see Jimmy in Frisco, Texas in 36 days.

Not really sure if this is old news or not, but Miles mentioned that Jerry Jeff Walker has just been added to the schedule for MOTM this year. JJW is now listed on the MOTM website.
