That's a list of past performers. He's not on the schedule for this year, yet.
Here's the schedule. http://www.phip.com/MOTM_Schedule.asp
Ok, but he was mentioned as being there for this year on RM.
No problem mon! :D I heard Miles say it myself. I'm guessing PHIP just hasn't updated their site yet. We're all booked & ready to go :D :D

I heard from a reliable source that JJW is not going to MOTM's and the reference on RM was an old replay from two years ago, can anyone confirm that he is or isn't? Thanks

I also heard from a reliable source in NJ, that it was an old replay. I'm trying to find out myself.

I've started looking at flight schedules, and I can't say I'm thrilled.

The pricing isn't bad...yet. But the number of stops has increased. I now can't get from OAK to FLL in fewer than two stops, and the flights are mostly at sucky times on one end or the other. :(

The airlines certainly aren't making people want to fly.

consider flying into Orlando

It is about a three hour drive from Orlando to Fort Lauderdale, but you will save that much time by cutting out a stopover.
You can get here from almost anywhere in the country with 0-1 stops, usually with a choice of times.

Look into flying into Fort Myers and taking the jet boat from Ft Myers Beach. We go to KW annually and that's how we do it. Cheaper flights to FM and the boat to KW is about $100 r/t. Nice start and end to the vacation

What a great idea! This year we're flying into FLL and renting a convertible and driving.......gotta do it at least once. We'll have to check that out next year..... 8)

Hmmm...if I fly into Orlando, I expect I'd have to add at least one more day to the trip...two, more likely, as if I'm in Orlando, the urge to visit KSC would be nearly irresistable.

Then again...adding a day to spend at KSC wouldn't s*ck much...:)

Well if you are in Orlando and need a place to stay, we are about a mile from Universal and guests are always welcome! (unless we have already left for Key West  )

Could you give me a little more info on this? I started looking into flights and the cheapest one so far is $405 each flying into FL or Miami and then taking a smaller plane (which I am NOT thrilled about) into KW. We flew Delta last time with a stop in GA and then took a small jet into KW and that wasn't too bad but now the only plane I find going in is a prop plane. I would love to drive but our time is already limited and we have done the beautiful drive already. Hubby would love the jet boat! :D
Thanks!
Ciao!

The website for the boat is www.seakeywest.com. The boat leaves about 8 a.m. from Fort Myers Beach. We usually spend the night before at a place called the Lighthouse Resort--a little tacky, but affordable and clean. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants and is has a funky little tiki bar on the premises. We then take a quick cab ride in the morning over to the boat. If you book 8 days in advance, the cost is $99/person round trip. The time of the ferry back depends on the season, I think. But it usually includes sunset. The boat has a full bar, sandwiches, coffee and pastries in the a.m. They usually show a movie after sunset, which makes the trip pass a little quicker in the dark. We love it because it makes us feel like we're adding an extra day on our vacation. When we get back to Fort Myers, we cab it to a hotel near the airport that has shuttle service and leave the next a.m. If you need anymore info, pm me/

Ok, thanks, but that won't work for us because we don't have the extra days. Oh well, maybe next time.

'Preciate the thought, and I'll let you know if I go that way.

However, the flights into Orlando aren't *that* much more convenient, and cost about $100 more for a round trip.

(Ft. Myers, BTW, is even more expensive than Orlando. Yes, I've done the research. I even looked at Tampa and Miami.)

I think I'll wait a bit to see what the airlines do in the next couple of months.

All "reasonable" rate rooms are gone at the Casa...so...after some searching and a few tripadvisor.com visits, we booked our stay for Duval Gardens B&B...anybody have any thoughts on the place? We figured if we weren't staying on Casa grounds, we might as well stay on Duval...and this place is on the quiet end of Duval nearer the Casa.
