He's coming to Annapolis and DC around the same time. The way I figure is that he's giving all his northeast fans some much needed escape or remedy from cabin fever or whatever you want to call it. He's bringing Hawaii to us!LIPH wrote:I'll be at the NYC show, but I think Jake has to do something about his scheduling. The last time I saw him in NYC it was 15 degrees the day of the show. Now he's coming back in February. He lives in Hawaii. What's wrong with this picture?
Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

Looking at the venue's website, it looks like there are still tickets for the 9:00PM show on 2/14 but sales have stopped for the 6:00PM show on 2/14.karat wrote:Tour schedule

Ya gotta go see Jake.
Saw him twice. This year in Vegas at Margaritaville and last year in Raleigh at a very small venue. Both were fantastic up close performances! He's really a cool guy. Both times because the venues were small he hung around after and you could talk to him and get your picture taken with him. And he was signing anything from napkins to CDs to ukuleles.

Hey Snake, we need more wine!

PGA TOUR Season Kicks Off with 'Opening Drive'
By GOLFCHANNEL.com Team - December 27, 2007
ORLANDO, Fla. -- It’s imbedded in sports tradition – the coin toss, the first pitch, the opening tip-off – and now golf will have its Opening Drive to kick off the 2008 PGA TOUR season, which will air on GOLF CHANNEL, Jan. 3 at 3 p.m. ET.
The first tee shot of the year will take place at 10:44 a.m. Hawaii Time (3:44 p.m. ET) on Jan. 3 from the #1 tee at Kapalua’s picturesque Plantation Course on the island of Maui. GOLF CHANNEL cameras will be there to capture it live, but not before first bringing viewers all the color and pageantry of the Opening Drive ceremonies that will begin with a traditional Hawaiian blessing from an island priest, followed by a presentation of colors by Hawaiian Palace color guard, a performance by internationally acclaimed ukulele player Jack Shimabukuro, a presentation of our national anthem and an Air Force flyover.
Joe Torre, the new manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, will serve the roll of Honorary Starter and will introduce PGA TOUR pro Stephen Ames, who will take the first official shot of the year.
Throughout the hour-long special, GOLF CHANNEL analysts and personalities, including Kelly Tilghman, Nick Faldo, Mark Rolfing, Rich Lerner, Jerry Foltz, Dottie Pepper and Billy Andrade, will talk to pros preparing their games for 2008 and show a little golf along the way.
Live golf action begins later in prime time on GOLF CHANNEL with the first round of the Mercedes-Benz Championship at 6 p.m. ET.
