A playmaker.
Great game. Jags nearly choke again but pull it out.....once again.

WHEW!That skeered me! [smilie=shake.gif]
Of course, De Rio was an idiot when he didn't challenge that penalty call.
If the team hadn't pulled it out, it would have been his loss.

Didn't see the whole game, but I don't believe you can challenge a penalty call. Happy for you though, Des. :) Connie and Michael, too. :)

On further investigation, it has been found to be a non-challengeable situation.
So, it's not the coach's error, but the officials' (and a prime example of how Heinz Ward is a winning jerk).

Thanks for the correction, Penners.

Nah [smilie=nope.gif] ... he was just being too "competitive" (to quote the TV guys) in ungentlemanly ways
to suit me.

Depends on the penalty. If it is a judgment call, then you are correct. If it something like 12 men on the field where there is no doubt, then you can. The Redskins did this, I think in the last game of the season.

Morning all... I have NO voice from the game and I stayed and prayed to the very end....

That two point conversion with a few other plays there were calls made that we never heard in the stands or understood why. Just wondering if it was announced on tv....

Reefdiver - I was under cover and thankful, though it was not a rain like the first Monday night game in November.

And as we can see the other Steeler team showed up. It is a shame, all I wanted to see was a win, out of all the games I have gone to through out the years this is the first loss I saw.

Oh well there is always next year, it was Tomlin's first year - lets see if they get a better Defensive Line along with Special Teams squad that can actually do something great.

Congrat Jags...

(I go now to root for the ponies)

Apparently the Good Lord has bet a small chunk of heaven on New England teams this year . . . World Series: Check. 16 - 0 Football Season: Check. Best start in NBA History: Check . . . um, but apparently the Good Lord don't like the Bruins . . . :D

(and yes I am kidding . . . and yes I think things would've been different if Willie Parker played . . .)

Although I'm a life long Baltimore fan (Ravens & Orioles, yeah, it's tough) I have to give the Steelers much credit for coming back against Jacksonville in last night's game.

When they were down 28-10 I almost changed channels, but couldn't find anything else on worth watching.....

Congratulations to the Jags for their win and hats off to Pittsburgh for not giving up!

They're only in third place in the division and tied for 5th in the conference.

Ya see, that just shows the quality of some people. Winning isn't enough, they have to keep talking trash after. Yes, I whine and cry and look for excuses when my team loses, I won't deny that. But, in the end, win or lose, I offer my hand and congratulations on a hard fought battle. It's called spotsmanship, I was taught it as a kid. Sadly, not all fans u8nderstand that concept, it's the "kick 'em while they're down" mentality for them. People can say what they want about me, but for all my faults, at least I'm a good sport. Win or lose.

well, at least she called Hines a winning jerk, even though she didn't try to spell his name correctly

Yeah, I'm a total scumbag. But I'd never intentionally try to break someone's neck to win a game. :P
And about the spelling, I apologize. [smilie=dunce.gif] I thought maybe the field
was named for him (or vice versa). Honest mistake.

I didn't call anyone any names and when you say about "intentionally trying to break someone's neck to win a game" are you talking about the horse collar tackle penalty on the Jag player when he tried to "intentionally try to break Roethlisberger's neck to win a game" ?
