Yes, but it still bothers me. We have central air, but I have to run a window ac unit to stay cool in the summer :-?

I love them. We only have one anymore, but I'd like more ... Mr. Mojito doesn't care for them, but he tolerates them. :D

Whether in Summer to keep air circulating and not having to use the AC so much.

Or in Winter to push the warm air, that has risen to the ceiling, down.

Or when cooking smelly foods, it helps clear it out faster.

I love watching home makeover shows like on TLC and so often they take them out and just put up a lighting fixture. :-?

What do you think of them?
the only drawback is their 15 minute-every-4-hour bathroom breaks, especially the Britney Spears ones....

Love them! They just make sense, since they help distribute warm/cold air (depending on season). I live in Virginia, so I can't even IMAGINE a world withougt air conditioning in the summer!

You're not supposed to hang from them.... :o

We have one but it's ancient and doesn't work too well... we have a high ceiling and a loft, so it helps to circulate the heat a little better (if it worked correctly). So we don't really use it, because it's tempermental, We'll probably replace it this summer.

I've got all wood floors in my house, so they push the dust to the edges of the room where it's easier to find & sweep up.
It's all in one place!
Also, If you buy quality fans, they won't rattle.

It is red, and it's brand new, 3 dimensional with the roof vents in it.

HEY SHARK, didn't know that I couldn't hang on it, maybe that is my problem

We've had them in several houses over the years and I was pretty ambivalent about them...until this past summer when I decided I really liked them.

In the summer, as I fall asleep with the bedroom fan on low speed, I just pretend it's a gentle ocean breeze. Then I wake up and I'm still in Ohio...

there are lots of cute ones out there and if I could, I'd paint the blades of the one in our spare bedroom. palm trees or flamingos or flip flops... ooooh there's an idea 8) flip flops!

When I moved into our house, my wife's first job (for me) was to hang ceiling fans. I've now installed 5 out of the 7 in my house, including an outdoor one. So far, none have fallen yet. They keep the rooms cool and the kids love to throw toys at them and watch the toys go flying. 8)
