And thats a bunch of bull**** as I listen to Bob and Tom everyday. I've never heard a Ned bit ever played on there. And yes I do know who Bubba/Ned are.

Never heard Bob and Tom although I have heard "of" them.
I listen to Lex and Terry quite a bit.
Bubba The Love Sponge will be back on in Jax in just a few days for the third time. I like his show too. Wonder if he'll get run out again?

I'm not for sure? Bubba was playing bits from the Bob & Tom show where they were playing prank phone calls by Ned. He claimed he has had reports for sometime about them playing his stuff and not giving credit. Bubba may be after Clear Channel more so than Bob & Tom. Don't they work for Clear Channel?

Yes they work for Clear Channel. I can honestly say I have never heard Ned bits on their show. If Bubba is saying this, I wonder if its some type of stunt.

I grew up and lived in Indy for a while and listened to them off and on. I believe BadHabits is a fan. If he ever gets more than a day or so at home, I'll have him "stop by" and share some comments.

I am a VIP member - so could do a search for them or one of their bits and see if it comes up on the Bob and Tom archives - not sure what to look for.

it was about 8 years back and I agree about the canned laughter..
but most of the laughter is now real..
and the Guests make the show..

I agree with Larry - wish they'd knock off some of the "forced" laughter, you can't hear the comedians, and they do play some things into the dirt... I was VERY tired of Cleveland Steamer...
Also they seem to get "stuck" on comedians and push them pretty hard - and well I don't necessarily think they are all that funny....like Mike Birbiglia and Tim Wilson
BUT they have turned me on to some comedians that I didn't know about and now see when I have the chance like Drew Hastings, Auggie Smith, Daniel Tosh, Frank Caliendo, they also had D. Hugley (sp?) on and he was talking about his rise, thought it was pretty cool.
They also have some neat interviews like Peter Frampton, Paul McCartney, Peter Jennings - whomever is pitching something at the time - they tend to take a different approach and so the interview sounds
fresher. The one with Ozzie Osborn was, well, just sad actually.
Kristi also does news, typically entertainment or oddball - they do touch on some other issues as well - but by no means serious news reporting....
Haven't decided if I like the old Bob and Tom or the one that's had it's wings clipped better....was also tired of the Pussy Cat song....but overall, think the good out weighs the bad and it's nice to hear some funny stuff in the AM and I can always FF through the stuff I don't like

I knew you listened.. you and I chatted about them
once..
funny bit about Frampton.. the guy who sits next to me is about 26
and he and I agreed that given some polish, Frampton could do standup
He is funny

I used to listen to Bob & Tom, and have listened to Stern, but none of them "do it for me", as it's too repetitive or canned, so on my morning commutes I listen to my MP3 player and then listen to FM on the way home.

Never have listened to them and probably never will. I will stick with Bubba the Love Sponge and his army. Glad they are coming back to sirius for at least another year.
