The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.

Bridgeview . . . The neighborhood is a little sketchy.Hoosier PH wrote:What part of the city is Toyota Park located on?
Toyota Park is off of 55 and East on Harlem Ave. South of Midway AIrport - The closest nice hotels are the ones servicing Midway airport located on Cicero Ave.
I don't think Toyota Park can handle the parking though.

I was wondering this about 'on the field seating' as well...
Will it be GA? If so, that will $uck.
Here's the seating, as notated above...
http://www.toyotapark.com/events/concert.pdf
http://www.toyotapark.com/events/GAFestival.pdf
I'm not happy about this venue at all.
Probably 'cause I don't like change all that much (Ha!) and reside comfortably in the fact that I live only 5 minutes from Tinley & know the drill for there like the back of my hand! That plus the fact that I love my primo lawn location.....
As far as hotels....like mj said, not the bestest area in the world....
Here's what Travelocity brings up for the closest to the venue....

The hotels in Tinley are about a 25 minute drive to Bridgeview, just fyi...

Dang a step ahead of me . . . PM what you find out. I'd be willing to scale back tailgating expenses for that.bufitonmybmw wrote:Just for $hits & grins (I hate that expression!) I sent an e-mail inquiring about a suite for the Saturday date.... says they accommodate 16-50...
Toyota park is a nice venue. I was at a "GA Fest" last year. It kinda sucked. If they put seating down there it will be fine. The problem with the GA area is the concessions. There aren't enough. There were beer tubs to the sidelines and then 2 in back. It was madness. There was also a concession area at ground level outside of the venue - fenced of for the GA field crowd.
The bigger issue is the parking lot . . . The venue holds 28k . . . the parking lot holds 8k cars. You do the math and it sux. There isn't enough room there for this tailgate.
They do allow tailgating though.

I would absolutely shell out some extra $$$ for this...we'll see how ridiculous it is....
As for the tailgating, well....we've got 4 solid months to plot...

4 solid months to plot what!? Real estate acquisition. This is where hosting concerts becomes the school of hard knocks for venues. They've never seen a crowd like this hit 'em and we'll leave 'em reeling. THey thought the B96 B-Bash was tough to handle . . . .bufitonmybmw wrote:Always my goal!mjeischen wrote:Dang a step ahead of me . . . PM what you find out. I'd be willing to pay a premium for that too but not if I can just get up front anyway . . .
Who the hell from TOyota is going to need comp seats to a Buffett show!?

Yep....I'd have no problem filling it up, I'm sure...I'll post when I hear back....
Ok, then Matt...guess that makes you & I official 'Hosts'.....
(and I do believe I can say with some certainty that you're just about as anal-retentive as I am!)
And I mean that in the most loving way....
