Well, I'd volunteer so it wouldn't be a "stranger" taking off the beard, but I haven't touched one in 13 years. :D

isn't Yankee Stadium due to close this year??
Wouldn't that make .. some sense?
This is the last year for Yankee Stadium but there's no place to tailgate near the stadium and it's not exactly the best part of NYC.

Not that I know of.
Shea would only be marginally better. Yeah the LIE and Grand Central are nearby, but tailgating would s uck because they're building the new stadium in the parking lot beyond centerfield.

Hey if he comes to Yankee Stadium, can we just tailgate on the Major Deegan when it inevitably gets shut down because of traffic?

ITs a great venue with great sound even but the concessions and such are a bit of a challenge. I'm also not sure what the overall capacity is.
The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.

Well . . . CitiField should be mostly done by then . . . maybe they'll let us tailgate on the new field before it's sodded???? There is also the potential of utilizing Flushing Meadows park for a full day of tailgating.

Dangerous . . .

true. But to wish for two shows, when the number of shows is
going down is a little greedy..

Still Chicago seems to be a central place for all of the Midwest Parrotheads to gather :)

This could (and should IMO) be the last summer for the First Midwest Tweeter Center in Tinley. Live Nation is looking into selling it, and then it will probably be torn down. I am assuming that Toyota Park will be the outdoor venue for major shows (like Jimmy) in the future. Northerly Island will be the other, and it's much too small for Jimmy.
Unless they build another venue in the area. Or they choose not to sell it (Haven't heard any rumblings yet).

Haven't been to Toyota Park yet, but have heard GREAT things about it!

Thoughts?

They are turning the area into an industrial park, already have a a few pre-cast buildings up already. US99 already announced the summer ticket package for 6 shows---so this will probably be the last season thankfully. Crappiest sounding venue next to the United Center

Jimmy Buffett is officially NOT playing in Tinley Park on
SAT 5/24, SAT 8/23, SAT 8/30, or SAT 9/13

These dates are reserved for country acts being offered up for the 2008 Country Music Mega Ticket. It's 6 concerts for $175 per piece in the lawn.

Or you can better yourself and spend 650 bucks on a ticket in the first 10 rows.

I've got no use for being that close at country concerts . . . none.

Guess I just have a different taste in seats---- Last 15 concerts I have been to I have been no further than 20th row.

I've got no interest in attending 6 country concerts in my life, not to mention 1 summer...
