Thank goodness you ask. I thought I was the only one who wondered about the life of Jane Buffett!

She probably said, "Go on outside and play with your friends, but be sure to be back here before midnight." For the kiss. 8)

Sounds about right. I could be wrong, but I have a feeling she runs the show.

Funny, I've had that feeling for quite some time! Thanks for the videos, too.

Also, I often wonder how many times Jimmy's first wife has thought about what "could have been" for her if she had stuck with him? The aura of being "Mrs. Buffett" changed a lot, didn't it?

Jane and Jimmy don't really spend alot of time together . . . not gossip; but since you asked there is the answer . . . I know for a fact that the Mrs. is never up in Nantucket or the down in Menemsha on the Vineyard when Jimmy is here for about a month or so each summer . . . personally I don't really care about Jimmy's family and try to leave them out of conversation . . . but considering I live where Jimmy vacations and a fellow Buffettnewer inquired there you go . . .

I realize we're getting "off topic" here, but I'm sure there are a fair share of us (maybe mostly women?? who knows) who are interested in the lives of the rest of the Buffett clan. Not in a voyeuristic way, but in an "I can't even imagine" sort of way. To me, Jimmy is not only all about the music, but about his person as a whole, which includes his ideas, his family, his choices, etc. Again, I don't want to be perceived as a stalker or anything (a fate worse than death), but we are a curious lot, aren't we?

With the exception of Savannah Jane since she's working in the music industry herself, JB's family is none of our business, IMHO.... Speculating in a public forum about how much time Jimmy and Jane spend together is really poor form, also just MHO.... :-?

I just know what I am told. I work with the Coast Guard on Nantucket and am out here most every week of the year. Jimmy is here quite a bit in the summer as well as the Vineyard. I know the guys who work the tarmacs and a couple of the pilots who work the airports out here . . . Jane is never around when Jimmy is . . . I realize that there are 11 other months a year but I doubt that she is around when Jimmy is touring (most of the time anyways . . .) so . . . hope that feeds your Jimmy needs . . .

Gossip is called TALEBEARING (Lev. 19:16; Prov. 11:13; 18:8; 20:19; 26:20-22) and BACKBITING (Psa. 15:3), which is talking to others about the intimate details of people’s lives for injurious purpose.

I'm sure everyone participating on this board has good intentions when discussing all aspects of Jimmy's life. I agree with you, if the idle talk becomes malicious, then it's fodder for criticism.

around here gossip about Jimmy is only gossip if negative . . . positive gossip = active threads . . . I stay away from Jimmy gossip about 51 weeks a year but someone at some point always brings up Jane and because I live in proximity to where Jimmy vacations I know certain things . . . so if people inquire I share info . . . but it tends to be perceived as less than positive and then this happens . . . par for the course.
