all of mine are on CD
I have all the studio albums
All the live except Ohio and Texas Stadium
I have about 60% of the live concerts/bootlegs that exist of Atlanta shows
4 CD's of out takes and oddities
Several other acoustic type shows from around the world

I know you said Cd's but thought I'd include this

A few autographed items
All his books
several backstage passes (none of which were actually mine)
a few picks to include one that says Coral Reefer Band

I have most everything that was originally released in vinyl, most purchased new when they were released in the 70's and 80's, including an original vinyl LP copy of "Down To Earth" (bought that one on eBay a few years ago). I still have several 8-tracks that I occasionally still play on a working 8-track player/recorder in my basement, including one 8-track that I had Jimmy autograph many years ago at a concert. I have most of the studio CDs but not any of the "live at" CDs (never was a fan of those; if I wasn't at the show I don't really need it). I don't own the yellow album but I do have the BBB&B box set. I have video on VHS (Tales From Margaritavision and Live By the Bay) and DVD (Live at Wrigley Field and Mini Matinee).

I have about 200-300 JB songs on my iPod but they are far outnumbered by other artists. If a song is on my iPod it is because I converted my CD recording to MP3. I have never purchased a song from iTunes. My iPod is 10-1 "other artists" to "Jimmy".

I prefer vinyl to CDs and CDs to MP3s. I still enjoy my 8-tracks too, track bleeds and all.

I have just about everything on CD and on my MP3 player. All the studio releases, all the live releases (including all the Tiki Time shows), BBB&B, MMIM, assorted soundtracks (Urban Cowboy, etc.), originals or covers on other releases (Margaritaville Cafes, Club Trini, Dan Hicks, etc) and other rarities.

I think the only release I don't have is SYKBY :D

All are on my MP3 player, probably about 25% of my music. If you add my other beachy/trop rock music, that's probably about 40-45%.

So when I am on shuffle, I am never too far aways from a Buffett/Island song.

Can't go wrong with any of them, but I'd start with some combination of A1A, Banana Wind, Barometer Soup, Far Side of the World, Changes in Latitudes Changes in Attitudes, Floridays, Take the Weather With You, Son of a Son of a Sailor, You Had To Be There, Live in Mansfield, Live in Hawaii, Live at Wrigley, Live in Anguilla

There was a, "What would you give Jimmy for Christmas, "thread this year and I said your A 1 A 8 track, autographed by Jimmy would be a good gift for Jimmy. In fact I offered to give your A 1 A 8 track to Jimmy along with some California wines and some specialty fly fishing flies

I went for waht I THOUGHT would be broke and bought the box set, "Beaches, Boats, Bars and Ballads,"..... not neccissarily in that order  Just set aside $25.00 a pay check and head out to Best Buy and buy what ever you don't have. I was soooooooo surprised by how cool A 1 A is and love Living and Dying in 3/4 time. You may find yourself going through album phases in your life; you may find yourself in a Far Side Of The World phase, (where I am currenty at  Someday I Will, Tonight I just Need My Gutair) or you may go through a "I need a feel good RIGHT NOW, and pull out your copy of Barometer Soup :D It's impossible to listen to Barefoot Children and not smile. If they coudl put that song into pill form Jimmy would be a billion.....never mind

For around $20.00 you can get the Live In Anguilla CD/DVD set and have a winter Buffett pary in your very own home. :D

'Zactly.....

There's not a JB album I don't like. Every single one has gems.

Nothing in the world like looking out over the Arabian Gulf at the North Star waaaaay low on the horizon and humming, "Sometimes more than others you see who and what and where you are..."

I think I have everything...

Wow, I better get to crackin with the itunes files

I have 2 GB of ALL Buffett-- 516 songs__in itunes including Live at Fenway, Live in Anguilla, Live at Texas Stadium. I bought Live in Hawaii, Las Vegas, and all those other commerically made live shows, but didn't put them in itunes.

I put DTE and HCJ, but not Back to the Beach or Salt or whatever in itunes.

I also put the duets songs like with Gonzo and Old Blue Eyes, Evangeline, Caribbean Amphibian with Kermit, the two Pitcher Perfect songs and the things like Mr Spaceman, etc and of course....HELLO TEXAS!

(my ipod only holds 2 GB) (but I have two and one is for all Buffett)

That is a good show but I don't think I'd call it a "bootleg". Sure, it was never officially released by Buffett but it was broadcast on Radio Margaritaville just like the regular tour stops so anyone could have recorded it.

I'm a combo of old school and new school. I have a few of my dad's old records laying around. Alas, no way to listen to them.

Most of the rest of my Buffett is a random assortment of stuff from friends, itunes downloads, and some CDs I've picked up here and there. I love my pink ipod mini! It's ancient by tech standards (2004ish), but it's so nice having 1000 of my favorite songs all in one place. And I see no reason to get a newer one when the one I have works just fine.
