I watched it on Comcast and even Michael Barkan made a comment about it not being a good thing to say. Passion is one thing but when you're a role model to so many children, there's really no excuse for that. It was unfortunate.

Fortunately, when they showed the replay last night, they edited it out.

I wouldn't have expected that from Chase, Pat Burrell maybe, not Chase - but I think he did it because of what happened at the All-Star Game.

That's right up there with Larry Bird's famous line: "Moses (Malone) does eat $hit!"

Malone had said, before the Rockets met the Celtics in the finals, that he could take four other guys off the street from his home town and beat the Celtics. Bird was refering to a sign in the crowd at the victory celebration.

Congrats to the World Champion Phillies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Party at my house this weekend, my only sad part of this was that I was at MOTM when this occured, watched it on Duval and celebrated with a parade at the Rum Barrel, lol :D

I knew they would win, because I wasn't going to be here, this was my first MOTM and I almost stayed home to watch it, celebrate it, and it killed me to leave... lol.

Life is good!!!! Congrats to the Rays, worst to first in the AL, good job. Sorry Michelle :(

Hugs to you.

With the exception of Maddux, it's good to see so many first and second timers on the list. I don't like seeing some guys getting them just on their previous reputation, when other players have had superior seasons.

That's #18 for Maddux. He is about a hundred and ten and he is still the best fielding pitcher on the planet. Never quite realized how good till i got to watch him the past season and a half. Congrats Mad Dog

Is it possible for a last place team to have a fire sale. Pad's looking for a Peavy buyer. The big E reports that the Cubs/Braves/Yankees are all in a bidding war. I love to watch Peavy pitch...sads to see him go, but if he can bring in a few pieces to the puzzle to the Padres....ok

A's acquire Holliday from Rockies

By Jon Heyman, SI.com

The Oakland Athletics have acquired star outfielder Matt Holliday in a trade with the Colorado Rockies, SI.com has learned. The players Colorado will receive are not yet known.

Holliday is due to become a free agent after the 2009 season. He has spent his entire five-year career with the Rockies, is a two-time All-Star and helped them reach the 2007 World Series. He batted .321 with 25 home runs and 88 RBIs in 2008 in 139 games. It was his fourth straight .300 season, but his power numbers represented a noticeable decline from the previous two seasons when he averaged 35 HRs and 125 RBIs while playing in at least 155 games both years.

Previously, the Phillies and Cardinals were among the teams reportedly pursuing a trade for Holliday, but the Cardinals pulled out of the running over the weekend.
