I saw a list today, by 2012 the SkyDome (Rogers Centre) will be the 6th oldest park in baseball!
I'll say it again, Dodger Stadium is an amazing park and a great place to see the game. Who ever designed that field was well ahead of their time. I may be in the minority but I put Dodger Stadium ahead of Wrigley Field on a list of best places to see a game.

If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

I went a few years back. Nice but way too big. It is like a giant convention center. But I bet when the place is full it is a great home field advantage. When we went there were about 30K each game and it still felt 1/4 full.aeroparrot wrote:And I have still yet to go to the Skydome.BottleofRum wrote:I saw a list today, by 2012 the SkyDome (Rogers Centre) will be the 6th oldest park in baseball!I'll say it again, Dodger Stadium is an amazing park and a great place to see the game. That looks pretty neat, but are they going to be able to track a fly ball in that background?BottleofRum wrote:Tampa Bay Devil Rays new stadium, proposed opening 2012![]()

Ryan Howard of the Phillies won his arbitration hearing to the tune of $10 million. Not bad for only 2 1/2 years in the bigs. With a Rookie of the Year and MVP under his belt, the sky's the limit. Last year he had an "off" year with 47 HR's and 136 RBI's. Not bad for an "off" year. But where will his salary go from here? That's why the Phillies were "only" offering
$7 million. Considering he only made $900,000 last year, $7 mil still would have been a substantial raise. He reportedly is looking for a 7 year/100 million contract next.

Local TV station in Boston, CH. 7 just hired a new sportscaster, Julie Donaldson who used to be Miss Florida USA in 2001... her main job duties the next few months are to cover the Red Sox. I think she used to cover the Mets in NY for a station down there..
Somehow I doubt many guys will say no when she asks for an interview...just a gut feeling.

It also looks like the Red Sox signed Bartolo Colon to a minor league deal.

Apparently, the Red Sox and the agent are not commenting on the ESPN story but it may look like what you are saying.Clintster7 wrote:Is the Colon signing trying to make up for Schilling?
