Like George W Bush or not (and I don't) you have to appreciate his sense of humor. The Red Sox 2007 World Series winning team visited the white house and Bush today. Some of Bush's remarks:

On Manny not being there again (he also missed their last trip)
"I guess his grandmother died again," Bush said to prolonged laughter. "Just kidding."


On Daisuke Matsuzaka, His presence drew a huge number of Japanese reporters.
"His press corps is bigger than mine," Bush said. "And we both have trouble answering questions in English."

On Jonathan Papelbon, who danced in the Fenway Park infield in his underwear when the Red Sox when the pennant.
"Thanks for wearing pants"

David Bell (3B) was on the Mitchell report. Seemed like he wasted his money though, he never produced for the Phillies.
