I have to agree with those who think Jimmy will only retire when he physically can't do it anymore. He just enjoys it too much to call it quits (and the money ain't bad either!)

Still... if they ever announce a "Lovely Cruise Tour 2XXX" you can bet I'll be buying as many tix as I can... :o

That would be a pretty obvious sign and those in the know aka BNers would be buying all the tix. Hopefully that doesn't happen for a while though.

im not sure if anyone has said this, but i always thought it would be nice of JB if on his farewell tour, he did kinda a massive goodbye tour. Perhaps visiting all the stops he used to go and hasnt in a while. instead of simply playing the regular venues, i would hope he would visit some places from his past....perhaps places in the west....perhaps places mentioned in the first line of "Miss You So Badly"... :P

Personally, I think he likes the "love hits" too much. Why else would he be doing it NOW? He has all the toys Jane's gonna let him buy ;)

Really, I think he enjoys it too much. I hope the casino in Biloxi is a semi-retirement plan. I'll take traveling to the Mississippi gulf coast a few time a year!

Like someon mentioned, I would love to see a farewell tour to some great venues ... being in GA, I'd want to see my last tour "show" at the fabulous FOX ... since I was only 13 and missed "you had to be there."

If I'm wrong about him playing the casino in Biloxi on a semi-regular basis, then, being the great showman he is, Jimmy will do one of two things (I think)
Either he'll do an over the top farewell tour that we love, or he'll play a "routine" concert in Tahiti and when he gets to the "and I finally disappear" line, he'll just say "and that time is here" or something like that ... play Lovely Cruise and Tonight I Just Need My Guitar for the encores, and tell us we're the greatest GD fans anybody ever had, and tell us "see you around the islands" ... and mean it.

When all is said and done, only Jimmy really knows for sure......

And I have a feeling, in the end, he'll do what's "right" for him and as well as his fans. Relax and enjoy, we're all in good hands..... [smilie=giggle.gif]

Heh.

The guy in the burger hat told me that he noticed JB using a teleprompter.

Are you absolutely certain that anyone in a "burger hat" can be considered a reliable source????? [smilie=huh-ani.gif] :D

For some strange reason I tend never to joke about accidential death, so the answer to your question is "No".

Yes. Ask him yourself. A1AJPIKE@aol.com ;)

It was Jimmy's employees who demanded he wear the Cheeseburger hat. Jeff did not want to.

I think Jimmy's brain is always in 'fast forward' mode. He simply HAS to be involved and working and going and doing and creating and entertaining.

I'm just guessing, but I'd bet that while he could do lots of things, the easiest fall-back is probably his music and his fans.
