If he cancels Alpine for Wrigley - i obviously won't get to Alpine.

Looks like I'll go on the road and visit Jimmy somewhere new . . . .
I'm sort of game on that as well, what's a good venue?

No one I would kick out of bed for eating crackers . . .
The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.

If he doesn't play Alpine, what about doing summerfest in Milwaukee? Just a thought...

I really hope he plays Alpine.....I think I got my husband convinced that it would be great fun! 8)
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

except for 35,222 of your closest friends getting together outside the Beer and deep-fried cheesecurd Capital of the US, drinking and conversing in a field the size of Rhode Island, and possibly freezing to death if the concert is held in early June...

You could have more fun at home.. :D

that saves a ticket for me.

Alpine No more?

Post by Patriotic Phlocker »

Don't know if Buffett is coming to Alpine but Michael Caulfield, director of VIP seating at Alpine just called and gave me pricing for 2008 season tickets and box seats. States they have have a nineteen year lease and the would go anywhere for at least ten. Now if we could just get Jimmy to make such a commitment, we could stop these rumors.

Not to mention, has anybody looked around the venue & resort/golf course? We're talking extended pasture & cornfield, maybe not cheap to farm but cheap as property values go. If you were building, you'd start there. That venue's not budging... now if only we could get that auditory purgitory in Tinley Park bulldozed, then we'd be in business. (I gleefully drive twice as far to cheesehead land and superlative tailgating.)

Since I think we've established that Alpine will NOT be closing any time soon...should we start a new thread to start the guessing game of what the Alpine dates will be? Just a thought...

Alpine

I am guessing the 28th of June because we are planning a festival for my hometown on that weekend. Last year it was during our fair and I am on the fair entertainment and sponsorship committees (still went to Buffett) and this year I am the President of the chamber.

Buffett date @ Alpine 2008

Post by DMBALPINEVALLEY »

Just trying to find dates on this site to pin-point when the Dave Matthews Band will be at the alpine. I know the month, just not the day...yet. Trying to base my thoughts around Buffett as he is before the DMB show every year...Yes, I got a confirmed answer that Buffett will be returning to Alpine in 2008! I am a season holder in the Valley and the show is looking to be within the month of July. I thought you Buffett fans would like to here the news. Hope to see you all down in the Valley! :D
