For me.. I would have faith if it sold to a "normal" family
without the markup and was a distant and fading memory..

And I'm torn between both ideas.

Love doggies.. and those that help them.

Would love to see the house go to a good family. But I think the house would be a tourist attraction for many years.

Hooray!!...what an excellent idea...gotta agree with LB (hmm) on this one, I could never live in the house...

but then, maybe I could.

I could have a lot of rescued dogs/cats/etc...

that's a thought ....

So although a noble idea to turn it into a animal shelter I believe it's a pipe dream. I also feel you could find a larger property for half the cost and be able to help more animals.
