I don't even watch, I just check Thursday morning on the internet to see who went home. Or sometimes I'll tune in the last 5 minutes, the rest of the elimination show is crap on a stick.
THank God for the DVR!!!

Mrs. cdnkeywest is definitely not a David Archuleta either! She keeps asking me what all the "hype" is over David A.

Personally my favourites from the beginning were Michael Johns, Amanda Overmayer and David Cook (you can tell I like a more "rock" sound). :)

I'm a HUGE fan of Cook however I hope doesn't win it all as I think he'll do better getting a recording contract on his own.. I like Siesha (she's grown on me) but think she's more suited for broadway.. Castro needs to go! How do you forget the words to Mr. Tamborine Man?!?! I think Archuletta will win it all..

Well, no surprise. We all saw it coming. I liked Jason and I am looking forward to what he puts out. I think he was ready to leave by the comments he made. I think he knew weeks ago that this maybe wasn't going to play out to the end but it would give him a great platform to get in a recording studio. He has had by far one of the best attitudes when the results came in. He sang with a smile and a sense of almost relief. Sure we'll see him again. Still think David and David are the final 2. Although I like David Cook better, I picked David A from his audition night to win the whole thing. Wish I would have entered that contest they had now where you pick the winner. My oldest son picked David Cook straight off to. This is the first year I think we got it right that early on. Although guess I shouldn't jump the gun. America could shock me. :wench:

I knew it was goodbye for Jason after he flubbed the words the other night. I think it will be a David & David final.

I did the same thing with regards to picking David A to win it after seeing his audition. Now watching him I still think he has a great voice and will do well after idol, I can also see him on Broadway but as an "idol" who has star potential, I have to say David Cook IMHO will win the whole thing.

I did not watch this week but I heard that Castro mouthed the words "don't vote" after he played this week did anybody see that so they can confirm this for me?

I laughed when Jason said someone told him he "shot the tambourine man"!

I almost felt he was throwing it on Tuesday night... May have been a selfish move with bigger plans in mind, or maybe winning wasn't as important to him as some of the others, so he bowed out for them.

Hmm, not sure if I would call it "bowing out" or bending over to get kicked out....lol

I am hoping David Cook wins, if not him then Syesha and preferably not David A. - I am not a big fan of his (but since I have only ever picked one winner on that show - bet on David A. to win!).

I think he got in above his head (shop) and couldn't take it any more so he flubbed the words and threw in the towel and packed his bags with glee.

Anyone wanna take bets that he's the next one pulled over in his hometown with possession of Ganja?

Well, little David A's dad has been banned from back stage.

I wonder if this will help David A, not that he needs any help. I think he's got the win in the bag.

Was on vacation, so didn't watch the show, but saw the results, and I'm pleased Jason is gone.

Alright we were down to 3 contestants this week (each singing 3 songs: 1 of their choice, 1 of the judge's choice and 1 of the producer's choice).

Here are my personal rankings from last night's performances:

1) David Cook
2) David Archuleta
3) Syesha Mercado

Personally I SO want David A out but I think Syesha is leaving the show next setting up the David vs David finale.

I actually liked 2 of David Cook's songs (fist and last), I liked 1 of Syesha's (her first) and really I was not personally fond of any of David A songs but it was strange seeing him sing "Longer" by Dan Fogelberg - I remember that song from 20+years ago (remember dancing to this sappy songs at weddings!).

Only 1 more week to go!

I thought "Longer" was a good choice for his voice.

I have to wonder what kind of a career he'll have. Who wants to hear a 17 year old balladeer? Teens won't and people much older than hime won't either.

In a throw down showdown, singing "Boomtown" by David and David!

I personally think David Cook will be voted off tonight, due to the kisses of death from Paula and Simon.

But, I don't think it matters any more at this point... whatever each of them are destined for will come their way.

I don't remember why, but I do recall thinking I wanted Syesha to win the whole thing after her debut audition. Maybe that'll happen.

I think David A is losing his appeal... he used to seem more enthusiastic and appreciative in the beginning, now he's just awkward. Maybe the pressure from his dad is getting to him.

I think is problem is that he hasn't grown during this competition. He's still the same as when he started. Still very good, but others closed the gap.

Syesha seems to be setting herself up for Broadway which is probably a smart thing for her.

David A. is "robo-performer" in that he sings every note very well, but I never se any real emotion from him and the squinty eye thing is REALLY getting on my nerves.

David C. would sell the most records IMO.

Syesha is leaving tonight.
