No matter who wins, I could find myself listening to David Cook. There's really no chance I'd buy the music of David A. Now, my 10 year old daughter loves David A.

David A has an incredible voice......he just needs to decide what to do with it.......I hope he's given that chance......he's only 17!!

I'll say this again.......I think David C is going to sell a lot of CDs. He has a "Dave Matthews" feel in his voice. I voted for him.......twice......

I think Archuletta upped his performances last night... he's proven over and over to have a good voice, but hasn't seemed very comfortable as of late - kinda like a deer in headlights. He's been more of a singer than a performer. But last night, he actually performed.

I think Cook remained consistently good and interesting, and I really enjoy his confidence and stage presence. He also showed how big he realizes it is to be one of the last men standing after his last song - he got the standing O from the crowd, which really choked him up. He's a bit of an odd ball, but I like him!

I wish them both well, along with others from this year's show.

Personally, if it's based on last night, I give it to Archuletta.
If it's based on the season, I give it to Cook.

But, I realize it's based on who's voting and how many times in America, so it's really just a popularity contest, and I think a toss up.

And by the way, I thought the whole boxing analogy finale was assnine!

I would listen to David Cook. So, I'm hoping Archuleta wins it. I think the Idol contract could be the "kiss of death" for Cook, he belongs in front of a band, not just a solo gig.

Me too! And BTW.....dialonidol has David C as winning by a fairly good margin. We'll see tonight.....

Archuleta was on fire last night, but I think he is forgettable...Cook will definitely sell more records, and, just like Daughtry, it is probably best if he doesn't win...hate to see him get roped into the AI contract

I am still thinking that Cook should win it. I'm not sure if he will especially since David A was the best he has been all season last night imho. I look at it this way, either way they are both going to get great contracts and become stars so either way they are both winners. Just look back a few years ago, Clay Aiken coming in second seriously outsold Ruben with regards to record sales. I think its actually not a bad thing to not have that "American Idol' tag stuck to you for the rest of your career.

The votes got it right, as far as I'm concerned. And by a LOT!! David Cook has great voice and stage presence. Damn, he made me cry.


The show was fun AND weird.

Carrie Underwood's outfit?? But sang ok.

ZZ Top was fun with David C.

The new "Pips" ?? Silly.

Liked the duets with others.

That skit with the "Maharaja" was stoopid. But the two David's were funny.

The Guitar Hero commercials? David Cook was better.

The Idols singing George Michael was good.. George? Not so much.

David A was gracious. I'm sure his father wasn't, but I could be wrong.

Oh, and for the record? I voted David A, but prefer David C.. I'm glad I was wrong

I'm very pleased that DC won, even though DA is a hometown boy.....liked the risky business commercial with DC......not so much with David Archuleta....

Agree with most of the short list, Ramiel, Checkize, and Kristy. I don't think Carly did well at all last night. I still don't get Brooke, at all. imo.
