I think it hurt more not having LT in there. I think they could have survived a hobbling Rivers. The two backs they had to take over for LT did a good job but they needed LT in the red zone.

Based on what?
A healthy LT against the Pats in the playoffs last year was a non factor.
A healthy LT against the Pats week 2 of this season was a non factor . . .

SD played a great game. And although they aren't going to Phoenix they had a hell of a season. After all they did something that Marty ball never did, make it to the AFC Championship. Well done SD.

He would have been used in the red zone more than the other two and would have been gotten at least one td.

Congrats to the Patriots and their fans. It was a much closer game than the final score indicated. The difference came down to red zone defense. NE did it and SD did not. Maybe if LT could have played....but that is only if's and but's. Now finish it off in AZ

A lot of people in the NFL are questioning the maturity of LT. Lot of his teammates are not coming to his defense about him not playing after the first series.

I disagree..running the ball wasn't a problem.....i thought the play calling was terrible!!.....they should of ran Turner up the middle on the one he lost a yard on 3rd and 1.....thy could of thrown a swing pass to Sproles(sp)..or ran him on a dive or sweep play...or a corner pass to Chambers( he had a height advantage)....And his mobility did hurt him...they knew he wasn't going to keep the ball on a QB sneak....and he couldn't roll out and throw....bootleg......plays to keep them honest!!...But in really doesn't matter now!!!..it's done and over!!

I've always thought he was a w h i n e a s s ...so while i respect his talent, i'm not a fan of his. Maybe his teammates are starting to see it that way too.
