How can yo be against a team called the Patriots. It's . . . It's . . . Un-American.
Wino . . . ?

No one around here likes Boston.

Me. and perhaps Rum . . .

We have guys who live/ work in Boston (Aero) who are Redskins fans . . .

Guys in CT (Tommy) who hate all things Boston . . .

And who likes Ted Kennedy or John Kerry? Not me. Not ever.

(and the HGH argument has got to go . . . half or more of the league has done it so lets leave Merriman and Harrison out of it . . . getting old and it doesn't matter.).
From Boston grew up just outside and spent a lot of time in Southie growing up. Left as soon as I was able. But still root for the teams I grew up with.

On ESPN today they were showing highlights of the Patriots-SD playoff game last year. After that game Rivers was screaming at some Patriots players who were celebrating, saying "Act like you have won a game before".....then you see Rivers yesterday getting into with Colts fans on the way to the locker room when he hurt his knee then again after the game.... then they showed his post game press conference :-?

Clearly, Rivers isn't the sharpest knife in the draw....

He was also (apparently even though I couldn't see it) taunting the Colts fans after the win too.

It would be nice for the perfect season, but it would also be nice to see someone ELSE in the superbowl other than the Pats.

alright, got Garry on the Bolt Bandwagon now!! :D :D :D

our buddy Glenn (SITC) will be pleased that fellow Iowan has joined the righteous alliance! 8)
Well, Glenn is a Boston native so where does his alliance lie next week?
Glenn says he has been a Chargers fan since Johnny U wore the bolts. I have always been a Chargers fan first, Pats if the Bolts are done. I am rooting hard for the Bolts. Even though I have been a friend of Steven Neal and his parents for many years. S. Neal (#61 RG) is a San Diego native (SDHS) and a former Freestyle Wrestling World Champion. However with LT hurting, Rivers hurting, LoNeal hurting, Gates hurting its a hugh uphill battle for the Chargers. My only hope is that NE is thinking past SD and/or playing uptight with perfection on the line. meanwhile the Chargers should be loose as nobody is giving them a chance. If they lose...hell they are supposed to. If they pull the upset, then they can claim it was us against the world. My heart says SD 35- NE 31, my head says NE 31 - SD 24. Hope my heart wins....is it baseball season yet?

Like to see the Pats win so Farve can beat the best team in the Super Bowl in his dream season.

We're kinda ticked at him for signing back the Chargers the other year, just so we could throw a dignified retirement party for him...
and he turns around and signs in NE the VERY next day.
He has got a big-time chip on his shoulder with our GM, A.J. Smith for cutting him 4 years ago at camp. He was finished up then!! IMO, he's hardly a big part of why NE is a great team now...

Like I said... a LOT of interesting angles are gonna emerge
In Seau's defence, he just wanted to play football. Should he have turned down the Patriots offer to keep on playing. At the time he was only 36 years old. I don't think he had an agenda with SD to use them then sign the next day. NE called and he jumped at the chance. He would have signed and played for SD but they didn't want him.

He has been a big part of the D this season, when Colvin was healthy Seau and Bruschi split time inside, now they both have to play and Seau has done pretty good. Over all in the regular season, 16 games, 73 tackles, 3.5 sacks and a career high 3 interceptions.....

It will be interesting if NE does win the SB and Seau returns to SD and has SB memorabilia up at his restaurant.

I think this year it came down to which team had the better chance of winning the SB. In the offseason SD was in turmoil at head coach and coodinators. NE had just barely lost the AFC championship game to Indy and had picked up Moss, Welker, Stallworth, and Thomas.

Who would you choose?
