margarita/beach/pirate cakes

Post by heatherjoz »

Hi
MyPirate is looking at 40! My hubby is turning 40 soon and I was trying to get ideas about a cake for him. The party theme is Buffett all the way! Being that we saw JB in Anguilla,Alpine and Vegas last year, I wanted to start this year out in a JB mode!! Does anybody have any pictures of cakes that you may have made or had made that may give me some ideas to make my own fabulous cake for him?
Any ideas will help!
Thanks
Heather :D

Go to google pictures and look for tropical cakes or beachy cakes, whatever you are looking for.
They have some amazing different types to look at. :D

Well, fruitcakes are definitely JB, but I'd go with a big ole rum cake and then decorate it with stuff from Iparty or another party store.
RUM CAKE......YUM!!!!!
Now I'm getting hungry

I made a treasure chest one year that turned out pretty cute. put mardi gras beads in it that spilled over the edge of the cake.

crushed up graham crackers make very nice/real looking/yummy sand. could also just make a round cake and then add a couple of cuts and some white icing (white on white really looks pretty) and you've got a sand dollar.

i love cake [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

As a disintersted 3rd party I can say that Holly's Margarita cakes are awesome!!! I keep trying to tell her she needs to open the PH online bakery, but she just keeps saying something about "new job" and "tired" and "... :D :D :D

But she could probably give ya the recipe to try out....! :D
