There's one 5-star review on amazon.com...
I was kinda thinking about it myself, but I was hoping I'd be able to find them cheaper than that... for a while there, you could buy the original one for close to $200...

I've read all those threads and the older one is like $239 and the newer one is $289 or close tho that. Both are way too much to invest in, for a moslty "single purpose" counter top space unit. Especially when our counter space is at a permium. Now breaking that $200 barrier might just do it. But now I am wondering if it is too small to get the job done.SMLCHNG wrote:Don't have one - but if you do a Search here on the word Concoction, there's several threads about folks who have bought one, and perhaps a review is in one of those threads? Good luck!

On the subject of Frozen Concoction Makers....
Does anyone know the differences between the 3 models?
I know the high end one (Fiji) has a bigger ice reservoir and different settings for different types of drinks, but what's the difference between the original one (now called "Key West") and the "Bahamas" model? Is it worth the $100 more?
Most of the posts on this site have been about the original one, I've seen a few about the bigger "Fiji" (or "Premium") model, but I haven't seen much about the lower-end one.

They have pictures and the specs of each one listed. Can't do a side-by-side comparison though.
Looks like the Fiji makes red drinks, the other two make green.

The orginal one is now called Bahamas ($199) the next level is Key West (I got that one for Christmas - ($299) and the mother of all boat drink makers is the Fiji ($379). The Key West can make about 2-3 drinks at a time and I believe the Fiji has a much larger ice holder. But we used the Key West for a party with about 50 people and it worked fine. You can buy extra pitchers and keep switching them out. The travel case is great!!!

Well, I finally broke down and went to LNT to get one. I read on the coupon that it's not good on M'Ville stuff but figured I try anyway and the guy there asked if I wanted to use his comp coupon and save mine, even better. So it was $40 off and including the tax came out to around $171. Plus so far it makes a very good frozen drink. I guess when it comes to this type of research who better to go to....
