And the meatloaf is a little different too...

I mix the meat with V8 Juice, Oregano, Italian Seasoning, Fine Bread Crumbs and a small bit of onion....

Roll it out flat, and layer Mozzarella Cheese...then really thin Prosciuto...

Fold it up, and bake....

It's delicious!
you must PM me that recipe, Connie! WOW! I love prosciutto and mozza 8)

I made meatloaf right before Christmas that I wrapped in BACON and then baked as I normally would. That's was pretty scrumptious! Keets love the meatloaf with some sort of BBQ stuff on the top. usually I mix some ketchup, etc. like CD does.

That sounds very much like Sicilian Meatloaf. I used to get it at Top Foods but they stopped making it for some reason.

They gave me directions on how to make it but I've never tried it. The only difference I see is they said to use 2/3 beef and 1/3 Italian Sausage and roll it up.

This makes the best damned Meatloaf sandwichs in the free world.

blackjack wrote:The correct answer is:

Heinz 57 IN the meatloaf and then a little pool of it on the plate for dipping.
I do that too!!! makes the meat tastier!!!
also add onion, green pepper, crumbs or oatmeal or rice, eggs and well pretty much anything!

depends on our mood.... I have an italian one, mexican one and a plain one......
BUT, all have something on top!!!!! wether it be ketchup, or salsa, or steak sauce....

Love the thread, and love meatloaf.

But do me a favor, as you read the thread, start singing this to yourslef:
. . ."Will you love me, will you love me forever
Do you need me, will you never leave,
Will you make me so happy for the rest of my life will you take me away
Will you make me your wife.
I gotta know know right now. Before we go any further do you love me, will you love me forever.

Let me sleep on it, baby, baby, let me sleep on it.
Let sleep on it I'll give you an answer in the morning.

What's it gonna be boy yes or no. What's it gonna be boy yes . . . or . . . no.

I couldn't take it any longer and Lord I was crazed
and the feeling came upon me like a tidal wave and sweared to my
God and on my mother's grave that I would love you till the end of time.
I swore I would love you till the end of time.

So now I'm praying for the end of time to hurry up and arrive,
cause if I have to spend another minute with you I don't think that I could really survive.
I'll never break my promise or forget my vow, but God only knows what I could do right now . . ."

Now back to your regularly scheduled thread.

I don't dig the ketchup on top. If I want it I'll put it on the side and dip the meat loaf into it, but I don't usually have ketchup on/with meat loaf.

In a remarkable twist of fate, tonight's dinner was ..... <drum roll> ..... MEAT LOAF!!!

No glaze ..... but according to the chef (who had off today and had time to prepare a "real" meal on a weekday) the meat was mixed with ketchup, bread crumbs, egg, salt, pepper, diced onion, green pepper and celery. Served with ..... mashed potatoes and peas (which someone may have mixed together into mashed peatatoes). :burp!:

What's this leftover meatloaf of which you speak?

I like to mix the meatloaf and mashed potatoes together.
