We've been business casual for about 7 years now but there's still a dress code. No jeans, sneakers or t-shirts, nothing with writing on it. Men have to wear collared shirts and they have to be tucked in but they make exceptions for days like today when it's 15 degrees. I'm wearing a crew neck sweater instead of a shirt. If I come to the office on a weekend I can wear whatever I want - t-shirt, shorts, jeans, whatever.

I have worn a variety of things to work....I'm the school nurse at a high school.
In the fall and spring when the kids are wearing the polo and skort/pants uniform, I can be more business casual. In the winter, they wear sweaters and button down shirts (the boys in ties), I wear dress pants/dresses, etc. I never wear a uniform (scrubs)....EVER!!!!! Did that for years and now I can wear some real clothes. :D Besides the last nurse wore a full white uniform AND CAP! :o ....and the kids really had a good time with that!
On special dress down days (about once a month) we can wear jeans and t-shirts. We've also have theme days and we all dress up for halloween. Last homecoming, we had a caribbean day and I wore a grass skirt, a tank top and flip flops....I live for those days! 8)
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

I work at night, in a non-public job. We wear whatever is comfortable. Some people dress up with jewellery and all, most wear jeans or other casual stuff. The temperature varies, so I usually wear a sweater or two, but dress in layers for the times the heat is actually on, or for going outside in the summer. Sometimes we might as well go to work in our jammies.
The boss wears teacher-ish stuff, business casual I guess, but she has to go to meetings sometimes, with "regular" people/managers. When we had a male boss, he even wore a tie on those days.
On game nights, I wear my Ottawa Senators sweater.

Never understood the point of a tie. Where one if you think it looks good but why the obligation? There are so many stlyes, I feel, look way better and present more professional expectation.
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

What I wear to work depends on the type of day I have. If I have a very important meeting that day (i.e., the board of trustees is meeting or something like that) I'll wear a suit. If it's a fairly normal day, biz. casual will do. On Fridays, I wear jeans unless I've got a meeting or something like that.

Oh yeah......we're supposed to wear orange on Fridays, as a show of school spirit for the university where I work (Clemson). So Fridays almost always involves wearing something orange.

We can wear pretty much whatever we want as long as its clean and there is nothing obscene on it. Only thing not permitted are sleevless shirts, and everyone must wear shoes that fully enclose the foot. No open toe shoes.

I usually wear a suit skirt and a sweater or collared blouse. My summer skirts have patterns/prints that are bright... winter? black/brown/grey. I do not have to wear panty hose (thank goodness for that) but in the winter I do. I'm partial to a low heeled shoe.

I once went business casual and within three minutes of being in the office, I was told to either go home or go shopping.
