We watched the Puppy Bowl before the game. That little brown terrier was really good!

I am going to say this upfront, as I have already heard these things.

1) The Patriots did not beat themselves.
2) The Patriots did not choke.

The Giants played a hell of a game, kept the Patriots' offense in check almost the entire game. Their offense, while not explosive, made the plays they needed to win. Great game Giants, and Giants fans, congratulations on your Super Bowl win.

"Mr. Belichick? Sir, Mr. Belichick? There is still 1 second left on the clock. Rules say we have to play the final seconds. Could you please come back to the sidelines? What's that sir? Yes sir, I know rules say a lot of things. Yes sir, no videotaping the calls on the other sidelines, that is one of them also. Yes sir, uh, huh. Yes, rules also say you must wear NFL approved team logo paraphernalia during games. Yes, well I guess that ugly sweatshirt technically qualifies."

"Please your smugness, we need to play this final second and then it would be nice if you would shake hands with the winning coach. Thank you."

The Giants were the best team on the field today.

Today was what mattered.
That's the bottom line.
Today was one game, albeit, THE game.
But as far as 2007 goes, nobody can deny the New England Patriots were the best team.

I am not sure I agree with that . . .

You don't play to win 16 games . . . and 2 playoff games. You play to win the Super Bowl. The Gaints for whatever reason peaked at the right time and everyone on that team did what they had to do to win the Super Bowl. That makes them the best . . . IMO. 16 wins is pointless. You all know I am Mr. Boston Sports Guy . . . and even I think that as far as this season goes the Giants should be considered the best . . . otherwise the standard and value of the Super Bowl is diminished.

I have the believe that either through coaching or other team management the Gaints paced themselves and won when it counted and the Patriots did not.

Giants are better.
This is probably the most logical post you've ever made.

And I love that shirt. 18 wins, one GIANT loss. That's great.

I agree with an ESPN commentator that just pointed out that if Samuels makes the interception late in the game. Eli Manning is a bum for just throwing it up, Patriots win and Welker is the MVP. Such is the game though, should woulda coulda.

The Giants getting revenge where the Yankmees could not?

(Go by that theory, next year the Giants will play 20 games (pre-season included) and win 00.

A lot of things happened on that final drive that could have ended the game but when the Giants had to be good they were good and when they needed luck they got luck on that drive.

I'm over it....I think! :-?
