Hey, I'm new here...don't have a clue what I'm doing...I've been spying on you all for a long time and decided it was time to join in....anyone know anything about the possibility of Jimmy showing up in Glendale on superbowl weekend?

Welcome to the party!!
Well I'm not sure about Glendale, I do know that he won't be at my house for the Super Bowl so you can scratch that one off the list.

First of all, welcome to Buffett News. I hope you hang out here and tell us of your comings & goings and ups & downs as often as you are able.
I'm not sure as to the answer of your question.
I do know that Jimmy has been known to be at a few Super Bowls, but I think just ones in New Orleans and Florida.
That doesn't mean he definately WON'T be in Arizona.
Only Jimmy knows for sure.

M'ville is in spitting distance of the stadium. My bet is he would stay away for this weekend. FloraBama and PokaMitch work at Glendale M'Ville and are not looking forward to the SuperBowl crowds. In one sense I am sure they are but it will be crazy. You know how the SB hosting cities get!
Wishing them the best of luck!

feb 1st there is a megaparty going on at M'ville in Glendale which is real close to the stadium
http://www.msmbiggamebash.com/index.htm
celebrity packed event - if I had any spare cash i'd go on the off chance that he'd show and play a unique show
then again you could get front row at a show aftermarket, travel expense and hotel for that price.........

If you happen to visit M'ville in Glendale, you would discover that it wouldn't even have built if not for the Super Bowl coming to town.
That place was NOTHING but tumbleweeds just 5 years ago, and when it's not NFL on Sunday or a Phoenix Coyotes game, the place is pretty much a ghost town.
They're counting on a big bounce this week to make the Glendale location a regular on the Super Bowl site rotation.
.. and welcome to BN, your newest addiction!

it's now become one of the least expensive parties in the city
i wouldn't go either (and am not going)
i really am not that enamored about partying with celebrities and can have more fun for less than that just going to the normal places
i do have tickets to the FBR (phoenix open) on saturday and imagine it's going to be a complete madhouse around there - part of me thinks it will be really fun - the other half thinks it's going to be really obnoxious

Give the half that thinks it's going to be obnoxiuos a cocktail or 3 , then it will join the fun half. Of course that makes both halves obnoxious.....are we spelling "obnoxious" correctly?

$500 to party with "actor Kevin "Hercules" Sorbo and from "I love New York" reality show Greg "Wolf" Harris just to name a few. More confirmations are being added daily!"
You gotta be frickin kidding me...
My sister lives in Scottsdale. Her husband saw Paris Hilton today at A.J.'s market on Pima. So, the celebs are starting to roll in. Playboy is having a big party at Rawhide. I am guessing that will be more of an A lister party...

not bad if you want to spend an evening with athletes as opposed to holywood people / musicians which are at the other parties
there are a lot of parties going on that you just can't get into without some serious connections (e.g. willie nelson is playing a private party)
bud bowl and playboy party are probably the two most talked about
also tons of appearances - like Dontrelle Willis and a bunch of other athletes will be at the Tempe Hooters on Mill today

No Jimmy sightings on Super Bowl weekend?
The Margaritaville "Bash" that hapened on Friday night apparently didn't get a Jimmy cameo. Maybe he decided to stay in Dubai and catch some of the golf tourney. Wonder if Jimmy and fellow Florida resident Tiger Woods are buddies.
