Cleveland Parrotheads

I'm thinking about following a detroit band down to PIB Lakewood.

Its a bar in Lakewood, Oh. It looks pretty close to cleveland.

Anyone been there?? Any good hotels in the Lakewood Area? Any to avoid?

Just looking for a clean, safe to crash after the bar.

I actually just went there this past Saturday and I went there for my birthday last year. It's a pretty cool bar, especially if you have been to Put-in-Bay. They had a band the other day but the sound wasn't very good, unfortunately. But, there was also a band there the last time I went and there was not problem. It is a fun place, though. I definitely will go back sometime. There are a ton of bars on Detroit, which is the road that PIB bar is on.

Sorry, since I only live about 20 minutes away, I know nothing about hotels in the Lakewood area. If you don't mind driving, though, you could stay in downtown Cleveland. I'm sure there are hotels in Lakewood, I just don't know anything about them. The bar is very close to Rocky River, also, so, you could look into staying there.

Let me know if you have any other questions about the bar or about the Cleveland area.

sounds like fun - what is the name of the band?

If you want a cheap hotel, I would check around the airport (Hopkins) or if you want a little more nightlife I would look downtown - both are a quick taxi ride from Lakewood.

I saw on either PIB's myspace or website that they have some deal with the Travellodge. It looks like its pretty close to the bar, but right by the freeway.
