Got to wondering this after a conversation among the guys I work with.
I don't have one myself. I used to but not anymore.
Connie's not your lucky charm?! :P
I keep a St. Christopher medal in my car - the patron saint of travel. So far so good!
Did they not drop him????
Yep. From catholic.org:

In 1969, the Church took a long look at all the saints on its calendar to see if there was historical evidence that that saint existed and lived a life of holiness. In taking that long look, the Church discovered that there was little proof that many "saints", including some very popular ones, ever lived. Christopher was one of the names that was determined to have a basis mostly in legend. Therefore Christopher (and others) were dropped from the universal calendar.

When I was in Japan, I bought a lucky shamrock cell phone charm- I swear, that thing was bad luck! Things improved once I got rid of it.

I have SEVERAL good luck charms.

They're called my wife's credit cards.

I carry them with me everywhere I go, and at the end of the month I'm VERY lucky and get no bills in the mail. 8)

Hey, about 10 years ago my Mom gave me a St Christopher medal for my Jeep CJ7 and I hung it off my rear view mirror. A few months later I rolled my Jeep after hitting black ice. The hardtop broke into 3 pieces as it rolled down the bank, and luckily I hugged the steering wheel as it first went over( wasn't wearing a seat belt). It rolled 3 times and came to land on it's driver side with my back against the dash, and my legs pinned under the rollbar. The FIRST thing I saw when I came to ( never lost conscious but was dazed) was that medallion staring me in the face. After I reached a piece of debris and dug out the snow so I could get my legs out, I stood up and had no major injuries. I'm not overly religious, but I know a good luck medal when I see one. It's the first thing that goes into a new vehicle when I trade.
