OMG!!! I'm so damn excited!!!
I'm sitting here, having my (late) morning coffee, cutting out pics for the 'door' and having so much fun. Just cant wait!!!

so updates on the Viking and such... the shuttle will run till 2am now! Yeah! and there will be a coat check at the Hyatt for us! more Yeahs!! They have two buses or trolleys or something that will run continuously all day friday and saturday so no one should have to wait very long. I tell ya, considering they got slammed with this so close to the convention, very impressive what they've been able to do!

now.. back to the port holes! and no.. i'm not going to cut a hole out of the door Tommy.. course, not a bad idea!.. .hmmm....

Yes, there will be info in the Convention guide as well
as early registration on Sunday morning with the
Maine Parrothead Club. I am the Entertainment Coordinator
for the 2009 Convention. It will be at the Sable Oaks Marriott
in South Portland. (the overflow Holiday Inn Express is about
a hundred yards away) It will run from Thursday 3/5/09 until
Sunday 3/8/09. We're also going to have a Parrothead Carnival
and a Duval Crawl in addition to plenty of other activities.

Jim Morris and the Big Bamboo Band are confirmed as the
Saturday night headliners. We will have entertainment starting
Thursday night. Other acts that are looking into playing the 2009
convention are: The Boat Drunks, Peter Mayer, Scott Kirby,
Pete and Wayne from Sloppy Joes in Key West, the Corona Brothers
and the ME Parrothead Club's Calypso Cowboys.

The links for the 2009 convention will probably be up on the
www.phcofmaine.com website pretty soon.

The idea is to give people the opportunity to pre-register
their party for the Duval Crawl. The room will be assigned
a Key West establishment for you to "theme". Then people
will come visit during the allotted time period. I'm hoping
that since people like to party in their rooms, this will allow
more socializing. Your tiki bar would be a great fit!
