Whatever happened to the giant flying shark during Fins? I dont recall seeing it at many of the past shows. Have I been blind (which wouldnt surprise me!), or did it go bye-bye? :-?

I was at the last Vegas 2004 show and they flew the shark. Jimmy laughed, though, and told us how surprised he was that the Shark lasted the year. If they flew the same Shark for the ASPOL tour, I imagine at some point it simply gave up the ghost.

I don't think so. In my opinion, that shark would have to be alive in order to contribute the necessary "essence" to LSL.

Jimmy said he was going to put the shark on ebay----as far as I know, it didn't happen.
I do remember him saying they couldn't get the shark to work properly the first few times until he called his Engineer friends at NASA :D

He also didn't leave the surfboard bench where ever he said he was going to leave it, because it's back in Orlando 8)

Can't always trust what Jimmy says on stage

I seem to remember seeing a video clip of a concert where the shark had crashed into the crowd. Is this at true or is the alcohol already working on my tired brain?

"Bruce" the shark became tired of life on the road. He started to enjoy

being retired until he developed dorsal fin problems and could not swim

well enough to survive. He was mercifully euthanised to end the pain

and humiliation.

Y'know...now that you mention it...I recall them having problems with it during the first October Vegas concert in '05, and they ended up "garaging" it early. And it might have involved dipping down into the crowd. But truth to tell, those memories are awful hazy, for some unknown reason...
