I was watching Dazed and Confused the other night when my 13 year old ran in with my high school photo album, yelling "Look Dad, you are Mitch"
Tall, skinny, long hair, baseball sports playing and fringe cool group at best. Yup she nailed it. Think I can put a Niles West '75 name to virtually every charactor in the movie
Damb kid is pretty smart
Since I was in college when Animal House came out, there was a lot of copy-cat drunk, fat and stupid going on at the time

Cruel Intentions? You slept with your step-sister/stepbrother? Well, if she looked like Sarah Michelle Gellar, I'm not saying I would, but I understand.

college was like Animal House....out of the 12 guys in my dorm suite....only 2 got to go back for their 2nd year and they were on probabtion.....rest of us were told to quote " take a semester off and re-evaluate your priorities" unquote
HS was more like Fast Times or Dazed and Confused
Ahh, those were the Days (Daze)

Aloha Mr Hand!
Fast Times at Ridgemont High ...PERFECTLY to the tee
My buddy Jack was Spicoli right down to the saltwater/seaweedy hair.
I was a cross between Mark Ratner (shy) and one of Spicoli's surf/stoner buds (trying to be hip!)
...and there was a cute, beautiful girl in my life (Katie) that was just like Stacey
It came out just 2 years after I graduated, and Cameron Crowe wrote the screenplay based on an undercover gig he did at Clairemont HS,
that is 10 miles away from the school I went to.
The music, the clothes, the malls were perfectly SoCal in the early '80's!

Ditto - the "nice" girl that was overlooked.
And I did get to go out with "THE GUY" in college, it wasnt anything like I imagined it would be all those years!

Animal House......hands down
When John Belushi is on the frat house floor and says "Seven years of college down the drain....." I can definitely relate, not me mind you, but....
When I entered college as a freshman we had a sophmore in the same dorm by the name of Larry G. When I graduated, Larry G. was still a sophomore!!!!!
Come to think of it, although 30 years have passed, Larry G. may still be there......as a sophomore

Varsity Blues (minus the texas part) and Clueless (because I was) in high school..........
Coyote Ugly/Animal House/8 Seconds in college.............! (off the top of my head)
Too funny!
