I meant the one singing. Is that the signline? I've never seen Dancing with the Stars but I just looked up Julianne's site. She is gorgeous!conched wrote:Larry, they probably want to know who the girl is in your sigline too.LIPH wrote:It's Julianne Hough from Dancing With The Stars.

I'd love a Jones Beach Show. (Hi, P&T!!!)

I've never watched Dancing With The Stars either. I just happened to be going for a walk through Times Square on my lunch hour one day and saw 2 people being interviewed. I had to ask somebody, I had no idea how they were. It was the day after the latest edition of the show ended and the winners were in NYC doing the rounds of all the talk shows.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here
Good for you! I always enjoy your posts. Thanks.LIPH wrote:I've never watched Dancing With The Stars either. If you click on profile on this page, it will take you to your profile and you will see signature. You can put "stuph" there for others to see about you.
And, I always enjoy LIPH's posts too, especially his photos around NYC.
Now, back to hoping for a Jones Beach Show.
Please, no MSG!
Tour Dates Rumors (not yet confirmed):
May 1, 2008 - Margaritaville Cafe - New Orleans
May 2008 - Columbia, SC
June 12, 2008 - Madison Square Garden - New York City
August 24, 2008 - Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City, NJ
2008 - Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville, CT
What's this 6/12 MSG rumor? Please not the Garden. Please. It's one thing in September. Why would you go indoors, in the middle of a crowded city, in the heart of summer? Especially since there are no other indoor shows scheduled. No parking lot scene, no evening breeze, no ambiance. And BTW, the perfectly good Jones Beach Theater sits empty that night, (with that wonderful parking lot) just 25 miles east. NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!!

I couldn't agree more. MSG blows. Tickets are too pricey. No tailgate. I am very disappointed.JBNut wrote:Tour Dates Rumors (not yet confirmed):

I really think I am going to blow this one off. I know the Mrs will not want to go. Is that it for Jones Beach? Is Jimmy too big to play there anymore? Is the $ at MSG too good to pass up?lilsalty wrote:pete00000 wrote:I couldn't agree more. MSG blows. Tickets are too pricey. No tailgate. My hopes for JB @ JB are getting dimmer and dimmer. What a blast we had at the 06 show--hot, sunny, right on the water--and I was so hoping for an 08 show. I think I'm going to skip MSG if that's the NY date.pete00000 wrote:lilsalty wrote:I really think I am going to blow this one off. I know the Mrs will not want to go. Is that it for Jones Beach? Yup - I was there in 06. I wonder if he is skipping Jones Beach because they won't let him sell his tequilla and beer.lilsalty wrote:pete00000 wrote:My hopes for JB @ JB are getting dimmer and dimmer. I don't know. I hate to think this about Jimmy but it may be about the almighty $. Not just the beer and tequila, but the gate. What does JB have, 15K seats? MSG, 18 or 19K? They also charge more for MSG tickets. It doesn't add up to a huge difference but if both venues are open on the same date - they go with the one with the most $. I'm with Pete, I'll have to skip this. And it kills me.pete00000 wrote:I hope so. I hate seeing the show at MSG last year we went to the bar across the street fom the garden got there at around 1 pm and there were only like 20 parrotheads there. People did not show up until around 6pm and the bar did not play any buffett music until 7 pm it was horrible. The only thing that made up for it was we were able to get two tix two rows from the stage on stub hub a day before the show for less than face value including the fees.
That is my advice iy you don't know if you want to go yet get tix on stubhub a day or so before they are always cheap. FINNS UP
6/5 Atlanta
6/12 Jones Beach !!!!!!!
9/6 Great Woods

I really hope he does Jones Beach and not MSG. I may have to tailgate all day at Jones Beach and then somehow get to the LIRR and head to MSG. My favorite Buffett show was in 2006 at Jones Beach. We started tailgating at 8:00am. We had the tiki bar set up, pool , games, etc... Jones Beach in 08!!!!!!
YOU CAN'T DRINK ALL DAY IF YOU DON'T START IN THE MORNING

Hopefully -after the MSG tickets sell out Jimmy will announce a show at the Beach-last year many people jumped on the show announced early. Agree with Larry-it is only March-we have time
I want to go back to the island,
Where the shrimp boats tie up to the pilin'.
Give me oysters and beer for dinner ev'ry day of the year
