Newsday had a big list of announced summer shows....and Buffett ain't on the list.

heard from the Metro PHC today about Mohegan Sun tickets even tho they dont know the date yet....but nothing yet about JB>>>>

The other website now lists it as a "rumoured" show. If is to be I would think the announcement would come by Thursday the latest.

Although I haven't heard otherwise, I am beginning to think that that "rumor" was someones sick idea of an April Fools joke. I haven't heard a word about it on any other site except those that are quoting that site that originally mentioned it. Also if you go on Margaritaville.com they show other shows announced and when the tickets are going on sale but no mention of Jones Beach and according to one of the sites, the tickets were supposed to be going on sale next week. I'm starting to lose hope and think he may only be playing the Garden this year. I will continue to sit here with my fingers and fins crossed hoping that do play at the beach.

As Mr. Buffett has said, "Only time will tell", but I have to tell you that if they do add a Jones Beach Show this late after the MSG tickets went on sale, some folks may be a bit put off as they have already bought MSG tickets.....but I guess that would leave more for us! Oh what the hell, MSG, AC and JB at JB sounds really good!

Last year, NY area parrotheads that needed their Buffett fix probably spent fun tickets on the Camden/Atlantic City/Mohegan Sun/Foxboro shows well before the 2 MSG shows were announced. Only time will tell.

I"m start to think if this show is to be it will be announced after MSG. Last I checked MSG was not sold out. So why offer another show at this time and compete with yourself. Lets face it - if they announced a Buffett show was happening at Jones Beach tomorrow it would sell out by this afternoon. So there is plenty of time for the onsale.

Well, last year there were two dates at MSG and you are right, the didn't sell out. Has this year's MSG sold out yet (haven't looked since last week)?? If not, perhaps Jones Beach wouldn't either. Perhaps they are looking at the economy and the way ticket sales are going and have decided that less is more this year.

I was just checking ticket master yesterday to see where the tickets were with regards to pricing and availability. The only pair of seats together that I could find were the $201.00 tickets so it might be getting close to selling out.

i hope that this comes true, JB at JB in August will be great!! We'll be in AC Sunday then to JB for Thursday!! Jones Beach is only a 10 minute ride for us so it will be a full day of tailgating!! They let you into the parking lot at 6am!!!!

AC, JB, then off to VA & back to Great Woods. It's gonna be tough 2 weeks.

I was hoping for June - can't squeeze that many shows in that short of time.

Same here . . . I took off the Monday after AC, leaving early for Thursday or taking Friday won't work.

Two words....Wooooo Hoooooo!! If Jones Beach is listing him on there website, then who's going to know better then them with the possible exception of Jimmy of course. If they are listing it I would think that means Jimmy has contacted them about playing that date. This is the best news I have heard all year. Have to dig up my ol' count down timer

Man, this is good news. I am patiently waiting on the announcement. Jones Beach is the one place I've always wanted to see JB and I'll be flying in if he plays there this year.
