Hey alaura...guess what I had today...Bison dip! My inlaws just got back from a Buffalo visit and brought us a care package. No, I'm not from Buffalo, but my wife's family is. And thanks for the invite! I will definitely try to find you. Looking forward to meeting more of my PHriends!alaura1974 wrote:
yep, we will be bring Sahlens too.....
And maybe some chips and dip (Bison)
-are you originally from Buffalo??? Come visit up in PGP we will have some dogs!! Probably not a good idea to bring sponge candy though...... not in July!
Wow, I haven't checked in here for a couple of weeks and I'm waayy behind. Definitely ready for a show, even if its on RM! Spring finally arrived in Ohio this week, kind of putting me even more in the mood for the traditional tailgate! Now where did I put that blender?.....

Last year I used the special Pina Colada and Margarita Jello flavors to make them, and I thought they came out pretty good (especially the pina coladas)! Anyone else try those? The only problem I have is getting them to slide out of the cups. Anyone have any suggestions?karat wrote:I'll step into this challenge also, made fantastic shots last year...and so far no one has beat my Margarita or Rum cakes! I won't be making the rum cake for the concert, though may make the Margarita Cake!caly wrote:put your $ where your mouth is.......what kind do you make?orion016 wrote:That's because you haven't had MY Jello Shots..... No. No Sahlens this time (I've had them before though), but they would go great with my Webers horseradish mustard.alaura1974 wrote:Bison dip is awesome!!!! I have been looking for the Margarita, Pina Colada and, I hear, Strawberry Daquiri Jello. Anyone seen them in northeast Ohio?

See That's Fine.... and i make like 4-5 different ones... it all depends on what i can get at that time, and that Flavored jello is great but the originals always stand out....caly wrote:put your $ where your mouth is.......what kind do you make?orion016 wrote:That's because you haven't had MY Jello Shots..... Usually a little later into summer Giant Eagle carries the Jello that you are looking for. They normally put them in free standing displays in the middle of the rows. I've always been able to find them around June time here in the Burgh. Hope that helps. I still have about 10 boxes of each from last year, never hurts to stock up incase you can't get them in time.

We used these Injectors/Syringes at the bar I worked at in College they cost a little more but can be alot of fun to shoot the jello out (you can wash and reuse them if make sure people don't throw them away). I might have to see if I can get a bunch from the bar and make them for the tailgate this year.
